| Okay, so I just discovered the Witch on the Mordheimer site and I badly want to hire one. Problem is GW's errata doesn't list it as "official". In fact, they even elude that the Witch may be too powerful. I'd appreciate it if you all could weigh in on this issue.
Have you used the Witch? & Did you find the Witch to be balanced? |

| the "problem" with the Witch mostly centers around the spell which AFAIR is called "scry" ...targeting a model within 6'' allowing d6 number of rerolls + modifying these rolls by +/-1 This is a VERY powerful spell ...
In the campaign I played in ...we played with a limitation that the rerolls could NOT be used to modify spell rolls ...(to atleast awert some of the cheasier combinations such as scry with "the chaos spell which turns a model into a spawn on 1 ...modifying a stat on 2-5 ...and giving +1 to all stats on a 6"
I like the Witch ...but the scry-spell in its current form is rediculous ...(same as the Arabian Merchants Marketeer ability).

| I see what you mean. Although the rule states D3 rerolls, the real problem is the +/- 1. If it were just D3 Re-rolls I think it might be more reasonable. |

| The main reasons I want to hire a Witch so badly are: 1.) Undead only has access to a few Hired Swords. I've already hired a Warlock and I don't want to hire an Ogre. (too expensive) 2.) The witch really fits the theme of my warband 3.) I converted this Witch model and I'm dying to use it. |

| Great point, UnderBheit! The model is indeed a great reason to hire a Witch.. even though it's a male...Witcher.. | |

I AGREE; it's a very cool mini &, therefore a MUST for the War-Band. With me the min-max thingy is to have the maximum number of cool minis in the War-Band, AND then worry about their utility. Not exactly a practical approach, but I'll bet I'll have the COOLEST War-Band you'll ever beat the BEJEEZUS out of...sigh.

| Perhaps we should start an unofficial HS OVERHAUL ...to make them playable...though in reality we will probably never agree as to which are unbalanced and to what exstend | |
