Flame On are about to venture into the Mancunius Dome area of the Underhive - a Necromunda campaign that is due to start in about a month. So a frenzied period of hobby activity has started: terrain building and/or refreshing old stuff) and building, converting and painting gangs.

So, this is the start of my Orlock gang, The Sumptreaders. A sort of tramp-steamer/outlaw-biker-gang hybrid: Think hell's-angel-fishermen!

Bull Lansen - Leader

Cole - Heavy with Heavy Bolter

Dogbite - Heavy with Grenade Launcher

Gangers

Morgan Fishgutter

Munzo

Webber

Stafford

Grimes

Waldo

Juves

Chake

Please take my comments cum grano salo...it's a VERY rare thing to post less than unrestrained praise to anything you post. Suspect I REALLY like the leader; he definitely fits with the Hell's Angels theme. The rest of the Lads look like Cadian I.G.; there's nothing particularly Underhive about them...I think using Catachan rather than Cadian bits will yield more of a Gang feel to the project. What a Face

They could be a group of gangers that ambushed a PDF unit?

Thanks for the feed-back guys! The reason I used so many Cadian bits was simple: I had them in my bits box! I have bought a Catachan command box and a Marine Scout Bike for parts so the next few will use more of those components.

And, well... the Mancunius Dome area of the Underhive has a history of being a centre for manufacturing of Imperial Guard uniforms. Razz

I'm also going to try to emphasis the nautical elements of these guys being a steamer crew (are you really surprised?) as Blessed Knight is working on a mutant gang with old-school diving helmets! Laughing

Photos of the first few painted models should be up soon. bounce

Bull Lansen - Leader

Cole - Heavy with Heavy Bolter

Dogbite - Heavy with Grenade Launcher

Fishgutter - Ganger

Munzo - Ganger

Group shot

And some detail shots...

These all seemed like they took forever to paint... Partly because I wanted them to look pretty good but mostly because I kept changing my mind about the colour scheme!

You're just breaking out of the Orc Pirate mode. You do anything for long enough & you form a work pattern...you'll build speed & start forming different color schemes as you go along...or not. Suspect
At any rate, the Lads look like the extra time & effort was well spent...[b]A FINE JOB!

My only critique is that you might want to spend a little extra time on the eyes. What a Face

Thanks guys! I'll do a bit more on the eyes Alan - I think you are right.

I'm painting the 5 remaining Gangers from the first batch today, but here's the next batch of WIP models:

Juve - Randall

Ganger - Hopper

Ganger - Eduardo

Ganger - Walls

Bounty Hunter - Rockwell

You've given a Juve a chainsword? Generous man - mine just get a pistol and a knife...

Thanks guys!

Re: Chainsword Juve - I like to build in some upgrades into models rather than have to change or make new ones when I add better kit. He probably will start with just a knife.

More finished models:

Chake - Juve

Grimes - Ganger

Webber - Ganger

Stafford - Ganger

Waldo - Ganger

Details...

Group-shot! Everyone so far...

Hehehe - I'd never heard of Mac Tonight until now (I just Googled him!) Weird!

I was more going for the John Blanche style moonface-mask:

After telling Zelophahad about the Wyrd I've decided to keep the theme of masks for all my Hired Guns. I've done a trio of Underhive Scum:

I realy like this bunch of rascalls. Rockwell is a particular favourite of mine, especially as i've had that moon "head" for years and haven't figured out how to use it on a modell in a good way =)

Whats the head on the deamonfaced scum? is it a bloodleater head?

Thanks! It's a shame the campaign has fizzled out a... maybe we'll get back to it later in the year.
