Here's what happened:
Question re: Charging into a Tight Space Q-charge

The rat ogre was on the bottom left of the screen, and charged the orc with the bow. (Yes he could see him.) But there was not enough space around the orc for a rat oger model to stand. He would be sitting on top of 4+ other enemy models.

Can the Rat Ogre fit past the squig?
Can the Rat Ogre even get into combat with the orc?
Does he end up in combat with all of those other models as well?

(What I did, in the second picture, was just move all the enemy models just out of combat with the oger... Gave him the benefit of the doubt.)

I'm pretty sure this is a house rule thing, but let me know your thoughts.

Hey Ashton, the way we play it a my house, if the model can fit (with the base), he can stand there, but he have to charge every mobel he is in base contact with. (if you need to move some of my models 1" or so its ok, but that is more a house rule, and never out of combat)

To make a example... If I got 2 models i a narrow street, side by side, and it is impossible to stand on only one, you cant say you only want to charge one and then move the other back. You have to charge every model you come in contact with.

hope that help.

The rat ogre isn't well positionned I think, he should be closer to the corner wall, and not in contact with the squig Wink

Normally, you would need info room to charge per the rules but we play that models can be moved or repositioned from time to time.

Thanks for the feedback guys. I appreciate it.

I think Skavenslayer's house rule makes the most sense. You end up in combat with both (or in this case) all models, and you can move them back a bit if it is needed to fit in the rat ogre's base...

Maybe it should be up to the defending player which models are going to end up in combat with that guy... because in this case, I didn't want to be in combat with the Rat Ogre, I wanted him distracted so I could beat down the easy to kill models.
