| Sorry if this has been asked a bunch of times before, I couldn't find it anywhere, but what dimensions do you use when making buildings? Like how tall is a standard floor, how big do you make your windows, etc? | |

| I guess most people try and match the cardboard ruins from the original Mordheim boxed game. In there, a standard floor is 2" high. I think you get a better, more organic city if you vary your window sizes from house to house. | |

| I make building floors 2" to 2.5" for standard buildings. I have a lot of the original windows from the box set, but for any window I base it on a human GW miniature figure. I want the mini to be able to shoot out of the window, climb through it, etc. Doors are the same. I place my standard figure in the opening and see if it works. | |

| I find the 2" tall floors a bit small: in a crowded table I have a hard time getting my hands on the miniatures. Since no one in my group has the original Mordheim set we set our floors a bit higher. 2.5" is perfect, but we decided on 3" because a few rules (falling, climbing, etc) require full inches. The buildings look a little big compared to the minis but as long as you fit the doors and windows right they look good. I space my windows about 1.5-1.8 cm off the floor, and they're usually 2x3 cm, though FKSN is right, the city looks more organic is sizes aren't all standardized; I'll have to take that into account. One cool thing for doors I try to use is the Golden Rectangle. I'd advise you to make a test building for height and go with whatever feels right to you. It's a bit of a waste of materials, but if worse comes to worst you can always make a few small corner ruins out of it. | |
