Okayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy. That was weirder than some of the crap I did watch (Rosie and Jim and later Blue Peter, mostly). and why, exactly, are they named after Renaisance artists?

Jesus F-ing Christ! It's going down. Fast! Cultural degeneration progresses quicker than I expected. Kids these days... you do know Super Mario, right? Razz Wink

Nuh, seriously, 10 points for recognizing their names - that's more than one would expect I guess (especially Donatello which is probably the least known [now don't shoot me for that!]). It did take me some years, but then I learned about the Turtles when I was 6 years old or something like that.

Hero (Turtle)s of my youth... yeah, they were cool. You should see the old movies with them (REAL films with REAL people and WEIRD costumes).

I know super Mario. Anyway, turtles as super-heroes makes no sense (then again, neither does a playboy and a circus performer wearing skin-tight clothing and living the gay-dream).
I reckon Blue Peter's better (mehehe, that's gonna piss some people off).

A plumber makes considerably more sense as a super hero, as they (mostly) have brains capable of differentiating between someone who's obviously a psycho robbing a bank and a stander-by. Of course, I have no real experience of six-foot tall turtles; and as such am a poor judge.

Especially one that changes size when ingurgitating fungi, hurls fireballs around after eating glowing flowers and battles little walking mushrooms Smile

Have you been at the magic mushrooms, Tom? Sure, they're free, fun and certainly better for you than other drugs; but they do make for some weird super heroes (Father Christmas, for instance).

They were MUTANT turtles. You can't tell me you play a game with intelligent rats that are trained with fighting claws... but mutant turtles bothers you. Wink

LOL, that's the first time I've heard Skaven described as 'intelligent'. Anyway, could we entrust our safety to another species? I mean, if I wasn't human I wouldn't trust Homo Sapiens further than I could spit them. And would they save a restraunt from being burgled if it served turtle soup? And what do they think of Alice in Wonderland? (Hmmmm, I seem to have spent my childhood reading classic literature and not watching cartoons, perhaps this is the cause of my ineptness with super heroes...,)

Intelligent enough to have armies and warbands...

What about a guy who suddenly develops Spider powers? Or alien robots? Or any other super hero out there... it's all ridiculous stuff. I don't see Mutant Turtles as more of a stretch than any of that.

I was thinking of this too. thumbsup

And I don't see anyone questioning Donald Duck's authenticy (I dare you!). Seriously, a talking duck? Come on! Very Happy

"to make sense" is not a requirement for entertainment. It's simple as that. Questioning realism in cartoons and comics is futile and a waste of time and definately nothing you'd espect from a Warhammer player.

Wow, this topic really grew legs.

The K does indeed stand for Kroot. I used Kroot for the conversion, so Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtle Kroot seemed an apt title.

Thanks for all the compliments. It's much appreciated.

Very Happy

PS Darkwing Duck WAS Awesome!
