Does a swordsman who gets promoted, still have the ability to reroll a miss with a sword when charging?

It says he keeps experience and characteristic increases, but what about this ability?

Thanks.

the ability is a swordsmen special rule, that apply to all swordsmen, so yes, he keeps the ability if he is promoted to hero.

That's one of the reason it is usually wise to pay the extra for the better henchmen in many warbands - every henchman is a potential hero and the better the henchman's starting stats and skills, the better the promoted hero.
