A bit of a threadomancy, but it's better than starting a new thread right? Wink

More Warhammer Forge goodness! I found these pictures over at Warseer. I quite like the Chaos Dwarf infantry. Their armour reminds me of Black Orc armour, which makes sense as the Chaos Dwarfs created Black Orcs in the first place! Smile

And some new Empire stuff, shame they misspelled "Manann" though.. Rolling Eyes

And a WIP Verminlord!

More info and pictures over here and here. bounce

haha, and being fully plated, you may use them as miniature grey knights in 4TK!
I like the hero, but I'm not too fond of the infantry... but you - being a dwarf player - are probably a bit biased? Wink

I love the giant with the marauder on his neck. Very cool.

The Chaos Dwarf Hero does look great too.

That about says it for moi also. If I had the $S to buy their stuff, I think I be more tempted to spring for the L.A.M. pieces than Fore World's...but they are VERY COOL. What a Face

Even more Warhammer Forge goodness, well basically the same from the previous post but actual decent pictures and prices!

Castellan-Engineer Jubal Falk and Nuln Ironsides command group
The current commander of the Nuln Ironsides is Jubal Falk, an engineer with a flair for tactical matters who many consider destined to become Guildmaster of the Gunnery School. Falkís natural talents and dogged enforcement of strict discipline have earned him an honourable reputation, and he is well-respected by his men both for his skills as a battlefield engineer and as their leader.

More pictures over here.

Manannís Blades Swordsmen Conversion Set
The infamous Manannís Blades are a powerful mercenary regiment owned, outfitted and operated via intermediaries sworn to the shadowy Merchant Lords of Marienburg. This gang of neíer-do-wells gather around a core of hardened fighters, veteran marines from the Marienburger merchant fleets who are utterly without honour. They have seldom sold their blades for gold in the Empire, and it is doubtful that anyone so feared (and as born a survivor) as Edvard Van Der Kraal could keep them in check.

More pictures over here.

Personally, I really like Manann's Blades. It's really good to see that Marienburg also gets some attention from Warhammer Forge. I especially like the trident emblems, I might apply these emblems on my River Watch as well! It also gives me some idea's on how to model my Mariner-priest of Manann.

Cheers!

So the Manann's Blades are a conversion kit only? So you would need to buy state troops boxes as well? I really like the look for a Marienburger warband. But 20 of them is more than most would need. I would see that though used for a fun Necromunda or 40K Arbites conversion. The helmets and shields would be perfect.

There is nothing here that doesn't knock my socks off!

Verminlord looks interesting, in a... big fat looking rat daemon way. Wink

The new Manann's Blades kit looks very promising for anyone wanting to put together a Marienburg mercenary warband. I don't know about the helmed heads for Watchmen being as these guys wear hats in the background, but the rest of the legs & breast-plated torsos would be excellent for modeling City Watch.

And some new Empire stuff, shame they misspelled "Manann" though..

@Pfreck - Manann and a lot of other people & place names were spelled with the 'AA' in earlier editions of Warhammer Roleplay books. The trend of publishing everything in 'double-dutch' has since been abandoned. These days the language of Reikspiel is becoming universal in the fluff.

New Chaos Dwarfs must be blowing people minds if they are into those twisted creatures.

The fact that all of these releases are going to be back up with a book release is too good to be true!

I have bankrupted the Marienburg coffers this month by purchasing the 'Wonder of the Age'. Deafnala may be amused to know that I'll probably end up eating Carcasonne game tiles dipped in Chaos Black paint by the end of this month! Wink

Looking at the contents of the Land Ship resin kit... I have no clue where to start with assembling this monstrous boat engine of destruction!

Stu.

Very nice stuff!

In fact, it's so nice I ordered two sets of Nuln Ironsides and the Command set including Engineer. These will add some much needed (well not actually that needed, but very welcome nontheless!) firepower to my Stirland army... I have to say, they are quite reasonably priced.

I haven't ordered the Landship (yet) as I fully expect them to release other variants of the monster (maybe unlikely considering the fact that it's designer left FW). Besides, it will steal the thunder of my scratchbuilt Airship, and we can't have that, now can we...

The other reason for not ordering the Landship is the fact it's covered in Manann symbols, while very nice, they're just not my cup of tea... Also the reason for not ordering the Manann's Blades kit (that, and I als have a very nice unit of classic Reiksguard acting as Swordsmen). They do look very nice though, and their Command Group looks even better!

I really hope they continue in this direction. The new Fantasy stuff looks so very good and I almost can't wait to see what they'll come up with next...

I like the Mannan unit (but I do believe that in WFRP1.0 and M:SDTR it was actually spelled "Manaan").

If they're indeed the watch, shouldn't they have floppy, black caps? ^_^

I really hope they will release more marienburgers. I love the Mordheim Mini's and glad to have them! But i guess expanding them with the Manann's Blades and command group will be better than the handgunners that i have now. I've seen on the pictures above there will also be an crossbow group.... i might consider them instead!
Also thinking about buying the Landship. But i'll wait a few more weeks/months to see what they will come with next Smile

Thats quite a good idea!
I hadn't thought about that, ordering a few of those to build (or enlarge) a Mordheim Warband sounds like a very good idea! Maybe even good enough to start a Chaos dwarf Warband...

More Empire models (or any other Fantasy models for that matter) from Forgeworld is something we can always hope for. I like the fact most of the Empire models are so called conversion kits and can be combined with just about any plastic kit from the huge Empire range...
My set of Nuln Ironsides will be equipped with Repeater Handguns from the Outriders kit. In regular games they will the rules for regular Handgunners but for our campaing games they will get some special rules (20 dismounted Outriders, BS4 with Repeater Handguns? YES PLEASE!!!) My opponents won't know what hit them (but I do: 20 of these guys will put down 60 S4 shots a turn)...

As soon as I have the models I'll post some pics here and in my Stirland thread...

I can't wait to see what they desing next!

I was thinking the same... never felt much for Chaos Dwarfs, but these orcish feel they have now make me like them more! Full plated Dwarfs with dread beards Smile

Seen some more pictures of the Landship... even made me feel more compelled to buy it:

Look at the size of that thing:

The crewmodels for the Landship are very nice! I've seen a couple of pics somewhere on Warseer. They should be made available separately! The captain is an absolutely stunning model!

Nope! But If I didn't lack the parts I could make another just to sell it:D

I just received an email from Forgeworld that my order has been shipped this saturday! I don't know how long it takes to get here but as soon as it does I'll get you some pictures! I already cast the bases for them and I plan to assemble and base them asap!

A unit of 20 Nuln Ironsides with the command group... I have some special plans for these guys and already finished some minor conversions on the Engineer and Standard bearer.

Nive paintjob, cool breastplate and helmet. But why did he switch the shield, if that is half of what makes these minis Marienburger? Trying to get the most out of the bitzpack and keeping the shields to convert regular troops I guess?

It was an absolute joy to paint this miniature... So much detail!
