Critical Hits when 6's are needed to hit?

So, we're at this point where you need a six to wound the enemy, but rolling a six, would also cause a critical hit... discussion came up wether or not this is still valid, or if crits just aren't possible when you need a six to wound?

how is the ruling on this?

It is on p. 32 of the original printed rulebook.
