Very Happy

The Leader has to be called The Puppeteer (a very highly strung individual!). The other Heroes could be The Manipulator (a wizard?), The Shadow (a dark figure who stays in the background?), Poppet (a voodoo type priest?)

Henchmen warbands could be:

Pinochosis - these wooden boys believe they are real people
Venkilloquist - evil little buggers who sound like they are somewhere else
Marionmachete - cutlass-wielding dolls
Banzai Bunraku - oriental wooeden dolls with red-sun head bands
Sock Monkies - the "dumb animals" of the warband
The Automata - a brainless "robotic" (steam powered?) creation the size of a Troll or Ogre

See also:

Murderdolls - an American horror punk band with a red and black colour logo and clothing scheme that would work for this warband!

The leader can be the Dollmaker, who uses hiw wyrdstone empowered magicks to bind souls to his puppets, and the eventual spell-table should reflect this, with puppet-altering spells and re-animating.

The champions should maybe other known archetypes who likes dolls. I like the Voodoo type suggested by Kurgan! He could maybe be used as the dwarf engineer on weapons, simply enhancing them by being in the warband.

Human Dolls could be the tank heroes. Like, humans whos bodies has been enhanced by stitching weapons, spikes and other nasty parts to them. Of course, they would be crazy!

The Ventriloquist suggestion from Kurgan is also great! Like youngbloods, but they use their hand-puppets to confuse the enemy "Attacking warriors must pass a Ld test or loose an attack, chosen by the player controling the ventriloquist" or some such?

Henchmen:

Golem - The obvious Ogre/Troll type of the gang. Made from wood or stone or some such, this machination is large, deals massive damage and can take more punishment than most. In return, he cant run, is slow to react, and cant gain experience.

Jack-in-the-Box: Fear-causing weak henchman with seriously limited move (while hes in the box, at least! Or maybe this could be a good spell???)

Scarecrow: A fear causing mid-level henchman. Plain as day.

Mannequin: Male and female modelled dolls, lifelike and made from polished wood (
rabbit ), they have blades and needles instead of arms, though, so they can help make new clothes for the team, preferrable out of the skin of the enemy (think buffalo bill form silence of the lambs combined with Tyra Banks... now if that aint scary, I dont know what is!)
