VERY COOL! You've got yourself quite a large & GOOD LOOKING gaming group there. It would never have occurred to me that there might be a reenactment group doing War Hammer. While I was at it I checked out the other you-tube thingies...VERY INSPIRING STUFF! thumbsup

yes we are about 400 - 500 people:)

it is the biggest WARLARP in Denmark and only happens once a year.

this year it was Norsca VS Bretonnians. Krigslive 2011 is going to be, Empire VS marienburg:)

You have a FINE group of VERY DEDICATED Folks...I'm VERY IMPRESSED, AWED, & INSPIRED not necessarily in that order. Shocked
Over on this side of The Pond, our Civil War Reenactors put substantial numbers of Guy & Gals in the field; their efforts can be seen in some Hollywood productions. The Brigade of the American Revolution, which I all-too-briefly belonged to as a member of the Corps of Light Infantry, put much more modest numbers in the field. The Historical Folk get to call their shows reenactments,,,the snobs.
BY FAR the most dramatic shows are put on in the form of Renaissance Festivals by The Society for Creative Anachronism. These are affairs that last for sometimes months with weeks devoted to different things ranging from Norse & Celtic Fair through Medieval onto Renaissance & the ever-popular Pirated of the 18th Century. The amount of PURE inspiration & motivation one can draw from a brief visit to one of these event is STAGGERING. THANKS MUCHO for the the post! thumbsup

i love the Civil war Reenactors you got over there in the states:) itīs always exciting to see real historic battles. im a big fan of historical reenactment:)

here in Denmark, reenactment is almost always based on the Scandinavian vikings:) we also got Medieval reenactment.

well thanks for some good replies:)

hey here is some links to some still pics:)

these are from Krigslive V (Empir regiments)
http://www.munthe-kaas.dk/foto/2009-05-krigslive5/

This is middenland Zwei-handers
http://www.megapixel.dk/billeder/visalbum/i23841

these pics are from krigslive Vl (Bretonnians VS Norscan Raiders) the guidelines for the norscans was that they where a bit more viking (ish) then marauder style:)
http://picasaweb.google.com/G.Reventlow/Apr32010#

the regiment i was in at Krigslive Vl was the regiment which had a banner with a painted white face.
we where a Huscarl regiment which used two-handed axes.

but give credit where credit is due, the bretonnians was by far the most beautifull army at krigslive Vl.
