Hey all,

I'm looking to paint my wardogs, some of them black with tan, some of them tan with black like this guy:

I'm wondering if anyone can give a general guideline on what colors to use for the main body (I use GW or Vallejo paints). I tried one dog, and it came out completely off. Usually I can figure this out, but this scheme is giving me a headache!

Thanks!

Although I'm not sure, this looks a little like a base coat of chaos black, then some bestial brown, vomit brown and a highlight of bleached bone.

That would be my guess.

Could also be bleached bone and somewhat heavy use of ink's like Flesh Wash.

I would suggest some yellow-ochre and working up to a dun/sand color (iraqi sand in VMC comes to mind) Then wash with a brown ink or smoke, to get the muscle shapes in.

Thats more or less what I did for mine and I'm quite happy with it.

I'll take a pic as soon as my wife gets home with the camera. Wink

Hmm, well, she still has the nice one out, so the colors might not be perfect with this camera, but I think this should give you a good idea of what I'm talking about.

Good luck!
