Conversion bits

I have found some good weapons for conversions, but am struggling to find crossbows.
Anyone have any idea where can get some?

The Mordheim sprues are much too pricey considering what you get on a single sprue, ideally i would be looking for packs of 5-10 same items.

Oh, and before you mention green stuff, let me just say hahahahahaha.
Yeah right. I will have a go with green stuff once i know there is no alternative, and once i have decided i don't mind crossbows that look like cowpats.

the empire sprues (I believe it's the handgunners box) are full of great crossbows, and have nice miniatures with them as well. or you could go for the older militia box, which has somewhat smaller xbows.

I don't know if the size is good, but Mirliton has some seperate weapon sprue's. Among those sprue's they have this one :

5 swords and 5 crossbow's voor 1,38 euro. In pounds that would be around 1 pound. Quite a bargain, so it seems?

The hand gunners are a good source, also the Empire Free Company has a couple of crossbows in it.

A little warning on the hand gunners is that they set-up a little weird. The bit with the crossbow includes the left hand and the whole right arm. It might be a little harder to work with.

The Empire Free Company has a couple of different crossbows, one is both arms holding the crossbow the other is just the left arm holding the crossbow.

They are both cool, but it is harder to use the hand gunner crossbows on non-hand gunner bodies.
