Which Nuln List to use?

Hey all,
I am getting ready to put together a Gunnery School warband using the Outriders box, Militia box, Handgunners box and a few bits and bobs here and there. There seems to be two lists for this warband.
The first has pigeon bombs and uses pistolers (cannot remember where I found that one at the moment) and one from the Ultimate Mordheim Rules (from the rules forum) that does not have pigeons and replaces the pistolers with guardsmen.
My question is; Which of these two lists is more popular or has people seen used more often?

The version with the pigeon bombs is from the fan-made Nemesis Crown supplement. I have never seen either played, but my impression is that when most people around here discuss a Nuln band, it is the NC version.

I am currently using the Gunnery School of Nuln warband from the Nemesis Crown (NC) supplement (the one with pigeon bombs and pistoliers). I highly recommend that particular version of the warband. I do not know anything about the other Nuln warband though so I cannot comment on which is better.

mweaver's comment that most people seem to use/refer to the NC version is valid though and might point to the NC version being a better version.

How is that warband doing, RatLemming?

The version from the Ultimate Mordheim Rulebook (found in the rules section of this forum) has higher costs for blackpowder weapons, but moves more options to the heroes of the band. It also adds rules for a small cannon (which is particularly interesting to me!).
THe NC version does has cheaper BP weapons which makes it a more viable warband to create. I was just curious to see what people thought about the differences.

I've won two of my six games with this Nuln warband in our BTB campaign. I lost three Heros in three battles at the start though which didn't help. I now have six heros and I'm looking at finally getting my hands on a Hand-held Mortar for my Instructor. Things are starting to get interesting now. Next goal is a Hochland Long Rifle for a promoted Marksmen Hero. I believe that the lower costs for blackpowder weapons is what makes this warband tick.

Optional blackpowder misfire rules and weather rules (allowing blackpowder to get soaked with water) isn't helping my chances at winning the campaign. I am having fun though and that is the main thing.
