I'm in the middle of a short Mordheim campaign and my Orc Shaman has suffered the -1 movement injury. I really like my Shaman and I don't want him staggering behind my main force.

So should I take him to the surgeon and risk him getting killed?

Has anyone else tried surgeons.

I'd say it hinged on three things; which surgeon list you're using, if your warband is CC or shooty and the experience of your shaman.

If you run a shooty warband and let your opponent come to you I'd say leave your shaman with a leg wound because he can still march and keep up with the rest of the warband. If you're running headlong into your opponent I'd replace him/fix him because you won't be losing that much.

I'd be using the TC 8 surgeon rules. My O&G warband depends on me getting into combat as we have another player in our campaign that I'd have no chance if I tired to out shoot him.
My Shaman has 14 XP but he has all the spells I like.

Rolling on the Surgery table is a bit risky to say the least...

However, if you are playing in a short campaign then I would recommend real man (or is that goblin) tactics. Take a snotling gamble and put your shaman under the orc butcher's knife!

It has to be the orcy thing to do, right!?

Regards,

Stuart.

You could just mount him on a boar...
