| Hey guys Been playing Warhammer on/off for the past 10 years or so and have only just this week decided to start playing again after noticing that my bit box wasn't a box any longer but rather a small shed. Now i don't know about you guys but theres nothing quite like that many lovely spare parts lying around to make someone want to play... Unfortunately im a lazy sod and suck too much at painting/lack the patience the pain an entire army. The solution = Mordheim Now i'm a total noob but me and a couple of mates are gonna start it off together and be starting a campain, with any luck i'll try and keep you guys up to date. ATM i'm playing around with Chaos Dwarfs and some pretty low key conversions (since my tub of green stuff is at the back of the damn shed) and will similarly be trying to keep you guys up to date with that aswell if possible, just finished my first warband: Raiders of the Black Mountain and will be uploading pictures as soon as i can find my phone cable so i can upload my low resolution pictures which will hide my appauling painting Oh btw can some one be kind enough to tell me which section i should post my warband setup so i can get some feedback. Ta Guys Frank | |

| I have always liked the idea of Chaos Dwarves, but never really been crazy about the figures. I think there was a post floating around here in painting / modeling about someone doing Chaos Dwarf conversions. Glad to have you aboard. | |

| I liked the original chaos dwarves, but did not care at all for the Big Hat version. Blech! | |

| well i love my conversions i've done, i tried to upload them but for somreason it failed, my dp is one of my gaolers. I use a variety of minitures to pull it off, this gaoler used a dwarf thunderer body, and one arm in the pistol and one standard arm which became the man captur, i then took one of the face masks that they come with and turned it into a jaw guard, turned dragons teeth into tusks and gave him some horns from a gor spru, works well enough, better than the silly hats | |

| I look forward to seeing them once you have them posted. They sound interesting. One of the reasons I liked the older Chaos dwarves is because they were chaotic - none of them looked the same. The Big Hat version were in standard uniforms - even if the hats hadn't been goofy, what would Chaos dudes be doing dressed all alike? | |

| Exactly thats why i took chaos dwarfs, because i love dwarfs... but theyr a bit dull and chaos dwarfs give you so much room to toy about with them, i'm putting a lot of moddels together though atm cus some of my mates are joining our campaign and they dont have any miniatures so im going into overdrive with the modeling i've just managed to finish a witch hunter warband and a greenskin warband | |

| I pretty much have to paint the figs for the people I play with, too. My brother paints his, but we don't have a chance to play together often - he's in Tennessee and I'm in the Southern part of Texas. | |

| We are in no danger of that... We are almost as bad about collecting paints as miniatures. Well, we were for awhile. I think we are more under control now. We use mainly GW and the Reaper Pro paints, but also have a lot of hobby store paints (Apple Barrel, etc.), Vallejo, Coat d'Arms, and a bunch of Adiken paints my wife bought on sale a couple of years back (not great paints, as it turns out). | |

| Nah its not that bad, we all quit a while ago and its the game and the conversions which we were more into, also i really cant afford the paints i have to say what took me 2 days to do with paints takes me about 5 mins of modeling... although now i have made far too many miniatures because it's like bod mod, highly addictive | |

| Fig assembly/modifying does scratch a slightly different itch than painting, doesn't it? Sometimes when I am not at all in the mood to paint I will happily sit down and assemble some figures. I really love the plastic multi-part figures for the infinite possibilities. I am far less likely to convert a metal figure. | |

Different strokes & all that, Amigo. Death before dishonor... NOTHING before coffee! | |
