Pretty cool addition to the Blessed Knights of Sigmork. I like the checker effect on his left shoulder piece...breaks up the browns nicely & adds a touch of color. As always WELL DONE!

How awesome this is! I'm still impressed with the mixture of the colors, the superb detail and excellent conversion you create.

Wouldn't it be time for another shot of the group?

The trees are turning and the nights are drawing in. Misty mornings and dark nights mean more supernatural activity in Vercuso. The season of the Witch is here... (The Treachery and Greed campaign is over and I'm switching Mordheim warband back to the NachtJägers!)

As a result I've finally got round to finish painting the latest batch of 4 Orc Zealots:

Orc Zealot Henker the Executioner

Orc Zealot Spitzhache the Tombstone Breaker

Orc Zealot Folterknecht the Torturer

Orc Zealot Streng the Tomb Opener

And a mini-group shot of all the new additions since the last proper group shot.

Tries to remember the song that includes "the season of the witch" as a lyric. Head hurts.
Oh well.

Wonderful group, looking forward to their adventures. Will miss the pirates...

Wow!

It's the clutter and paraphernalia hanging from these guy's that makes your models so unique.

It's been a very long time since I added anything to this warband (though I have used them on the tabletop a few times!)

But inspired by The Golden Tom 2014 (winners announced here) I made the most Mordheimy Orc I could manage!

I started with this illustration (from p50 of the rulebook) as my inspiration; the masked, hunchback, double-peg-legged knife juggler:

Build and greenstuff WIP:

Finished paint-job:

And here is Endewald the Juggler in a Wortbad graveyard, doing his thing:

FANTASTIC...an INSPIRED creation! I've looked at that illustration I don't know how many times over the years & this is the first time I noticed the peg legs. You little masterpiece captures the feel of the illustration perfectly...WONDERFUL conversion & brushwork. VERY WELL DONE!   thumbsup

Warboss Kurgan is an inspiration to us all, I've certainly been shamelessly 'inspired' by a few of his ideas!

PostSubject: Re: Orc Witch Hunters!   Mon 5 Oct 2015 - 4:39

It's October again, and a themed zombie hunting game is brewing, maybe based on this event pack:

http://warhammerworld.games-workshop.com/gal-hallouws-eve-campaign-day/

So The Nachtjägers are getting a bit of an update: rebasing for Warhammer Age of Sigmar.

I'm going a different route to the Crowmoons rebasing. I have clipped the sides off the square base and glued it to a 32mm round base (that has already been spray undercoated black then base-coated Mournfang Brown). I will add a little greenstuff to smooth the join and then sand/paint over that to blend old texture and new. I saw this process on BoLS and it looked a lot quicker than the way I was doing it.

http://www.belloflostsouls.net/2015/08/tutorial-rebasing-your-fantasy-models.html

It does mean that all the Orcs in the warband will get 32mm bases, which I wasn't doing with the Crowmoons and I wasn't planning on doing with the Pirate Orcs. The Witch Hunters are all very bulky with lots of gear, so I think they will look okay on the bigger bases.

LOOKIN' GOOD! There's nothing that breathes new life into a old mini like a new base & a little touch up...I've just done that to The Stump Man myself. Have FUN with the modeling AND the Zombie Hunt!   What a Face
