I've decided that for one of many ongoing projects I am going to paint up one of each of the "core" hired swords. I'm thinking of limiting my palette to neutral colours for these models so that they'll fit in with any warband (or won't clash too badly).

First up is my warlock. I apologize for the crappy picture - I can't recommend taking pictures of models while holding my squirmy seven-month-old son. Hopefully I'll get some better ones soon.

I did opt to add "Wyrdstone Green" to the formula just for this model. If you can make anything out from this image, let me know what you think!

I updated the picture - this one has bad light but is a much better picture. Blowing it up so big has also shown me some areas that really need work still (like the definition on his mouth and beard, a couple of sloppy spots on the robes and straps, etc.).

Hopefully that makes it easier to see what the real model is like!

Looks pretty nice, if a bit fuzzy. I dig the green flames.

COOL MINI! The green candle flames lend him an eerie aspect...VERY Mordheimy. I like the copper metal on the lantern. WELL DONE!
