 Game Counters - one solution

We've used some small glass tiles for wyrdstone counters for a little while, and it finally hit me - it's possible to use these for most game status items. In the photo below, I've included a bag of the tiles so you can search for them, and some ideas for use.

S = Stun (for those times when you can't/don't want to put a model on its side)
KD = Knocked Down (ditto)
Sp = Stupid
A = Animosity
St = Shot (as in a missile weapon with Prepared Shot just fired)
Rl = Reload (as in a missile weapon with Prepared Shot is being reloaded this turn)
The red counters are for models/buildings on fire
The dark green counters are for wyrdstone - I'll probably model something on top of these to better represent the wyrdstone

Obviously, I didn't think out the abbreviations very well - I had the idea and just tore through the counters to get them ready for tomorrow's game.



One of the best things about these counters is that they'll fit on even a 20mm base:



(Yeah, yeah, I know - blurry photo. It was just a quick shot to show the scale, not the barely-passable paintjobs I do. Well, I don't claim the wild colors on the troll - that was done by a young friend.)

That's a clever idea. I use pennies for the knocked down/stunned; i.e., heads for knocked down & tails for stunned...it helps save the paint.

Funny, I never thought about using counters for Knocked Down and stunned. We typically just go face down for stunned, and face up for knocked down.

But I like the idea of not having to destroy my paint job!
