| Hello everybody. After a view games and the start of our first campaign I have decided to build a npc witchhunter warband because we didn´t have any "good" warbands (except my bretonnians but that is another story...) I really like the looks of the Warhammer Online RPG and the Van Helsing movie. So here comes my first witchhunter. The details are still missing, especially the hat and the coat. Any c&c is welcome. And sorry for the bad pics, I hope I can get better ones at the weekend.

| Use some water to smoothen out the greenstuff before it hardens. Just on your finger as you work with it. It does look promising indeed!!! | |

| Hi there. I'm liking what I see so far. Your concepts are very cool. To get a smoother, hard edged cloak/coat for your witchhunters try this: 1) Flatten your green stuff out on a piece of wetted wax paper with your hands 2) if you want it really nice and flat, put another sheet of wax paper over the top, again with a lot of water so it can be easily removed, and press down with a flat surface like a book. 3) Once your greenstuff is in a nice flat sheet cut out the basic design of the cloak or coat (ie no sleeves, collar etc). 4) pop your wax paper and green stuff in the freezer for 20 minutes 5) remove from freezer. The green stuff should peel off the wax paper without too much trouble, and will be resistant to taking your finger prints due to the freezing. You can now wrap the coat around the miniature, and since it's somewhat hard, you want see the details sculpted beneath causing bumps and unwanted rumples. If you want the tail of your coat to be hanging away from the model (wind blown look) you can prop it up with some tin foil molded in the right shape until it cures. 6) Once the main body is cured you can add any other details like the sleeves, buttons, collar etc. I've had much better results with this method than my previous attempts so I thought I'd pass it on. I'll be checking back in to see what else you come up with. Again, very nice work. | |

| Thanks for the idea with the freezer mr.chair. I´ll have to try it the next time. Pics of the nearly finished warrior priest will follow this evening. | |

| Hello everybody. After a short break I finally found some time to throw some paint on the Warrior Priest. He is still WIP and I am not really pleased with the face but I could not resist to show him to you. And I finally found some warhound models that I really like. So I am proud to present you the first warhound for my withhunters, Comments are as always welcome. | |

| Is that a warhound or a wildboar? nice idea... you could add a rule when playing with that model: If it dies in combat your enemy could gain a D3 crowns (for selling its skin and its teeth) and threats one wound like it was 1 level lighter (because one of your wounded heroes had a good meal and recovers better...) just joking... | |

| The second Witch hunter is miles better than the first one in my opinion, It really does look very natural and well made. And the warrior priest is no less, really nicely painted! You are right the skin face could be improved, maybe adding a more "orange'ish" skin tone would make it look more natural. Non the less, you did awesome with this mini's paint job, the white robe looks great!
Inspiring job! keep us updated! | |
