The base board is 600mm square the uprights are about 250mm
the plan is to make it a ruined, partially burnt theatre(yep based on the globe) that has been used for pitfighting

Right the Base is 10mm MDF 600mm x 600mm
The uprights are 10mm sq pine dowel about 250mm tall
that came from a game called equilibrium that i rescued from the charity shop I help out in .
due to size of evential structure and solidity of basic materials I decided to fix the uprights in place with wood screws
So Countersunk hole in rear of base

Screw as viewed from rear sitting flush with base

Screw as seen on top side of base alongside upright with pilot hole
Upright Number one in place

that is ONE awesome project!

On the storing thing: you might want to consider making it a 4 parter? just cut up the base in 4 sections. but i dont know if that is still possible...

Okay the plan is (and bear in mind i am making this up as I go along)
To have multiple access points on different levels in order to make the piece more playable .
On the ground floor there will be the normal entrance and a broken down section of wall that has been turned into a market stall (selling otters noses rocks and false beards best make sure you hagggle)
The first floor will have a smashed section that has a heap of rubble and rubbish acting as a ramp.
And leading to the top floor there is a section of scaffolding . Loosely based on a few medieval illustrations but mostly based on the totally mental structures you see in the far east made of bamboo. The whole scaffold is made of a Sushi rolling mat .

@Paluke Quartering it is an excellent idea however it has now gone too far to do this but next time....
