| Well, I've been working on a new warband for a little while now, with the most of these being assembled over 2 days: The basic warband... https://2img.net/h/i50.photobucket.com/albums/f343/chris2686/mordwarb2.jpgWith added Hired Swords and Marksmen Close up of the Heroes Warriors with Mace/Hammer and Daggers The bow packs I made to add to the warriors once they receive some upgrades and the warband generates some new gold coins. Marksmen... The Halfling Knight Hired Sword, from the Specialist Games site Phew! Lots of pics, so I apologise for that in advance. Everything is WIP, with filling and sculpting needed, plus I received some of the new Empire plastics heads which will be used to modify the warriors slightly. My favourite mini in the warband is the Warrior with the hammer and bald head. I think he looks tough as nails! So far I have: Captain, 2 Champions, 2 Youngbloods, 3 Warriors (should have parts to make these upto 4 or 5), 5 Marksmen w/ Handguns (I've never used handguns before but I loved the miniatures, got them cheap on eBay, they're the classic metals), Halfling Cook, Freelance Knight (he'll be an Imperial tactician as I only have him on foot, no horseback one), Halfling Knight, and I already have a Pit Fighter and Warlock painted, but they'll be getting their paintjobs touched up and new bases Oh, and this ogre from the Rackham Cadwallon range... Recently painted this lady, who received a bad reception in the General Discussion section... I think she looks great, will be the objective in the Possessed "Sacrifice" mission. And speaking of Possessed... This guy was going to be the start of my Possessed warband, but I've decided to build another and use this as the start of a Chaos Fantasy army! Comments? Suggestions? | |

| Very nice warband Deserter! I have so many good comments/criticism to give that it would take ages to type. So I'll just focus on 2 things that struck me most: 1) I like the running pose you gave the Reiklander captain. He usually just looks like a fat guy lifting his leg. By giving him this slight tilt forward, your really made a charging "fatzo" out of him. Great job! 2) The possessed! OMG! Great! Where did you get the flaming skull from? The empire plastic mages, right? Gotta get one of those Briliant work mate! _________________ | |

| Yeh, from the Wizards kit. Some brilliant pieces, I've only bought select bits from stores on the internet, its joined to a hand about to cast a spell of fiery doom All the empire plastics seem brilliant for Mordheim, some excellent bits, I recently bought the Empire General kit and I think I might turn him into a Freelance Knight... | |

| They're from sheets of textured plasticard, normally used in Train modelling They come in a sheet around about 5inch by 2.5inch, then score the back with a knife, snapping them into pieces around about 20mm square. To get the irregular look and leave some space for some sand/grit I then take some toenail clippers (hehe) and clip the cobbles that I've cut in half off. I like the look it gives, and its a little bit more like a ruined city than having the whole base as cobbles. Although, it takes a little time (especially for the 20 or so minis in this warband), and for my Possessed, who will be my main warband, I decided to buy some to save me a little time, plus I really like the look of these and I like the weight of a resin base... http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/20mm-SQUARE-COBBLE-EFFECT-BASES-X10-RESIN-UNPAINTED_W0QQitemZ280074468070QQihZ018QQcategoryZ56363QQtcZphotoQQcmdZViewItemI also picked up some of the 25mm square ones too, they're nice Thanks for the nice comments! | |

| Treasure Chest objective, built from plasticard with added rivets shaved off armour panels, coins are sliced up pieces of spear haft, the rest of the pieces are spares - the golden Griffon is from the Empire General kit. The roof is from the Mordheim buildings sprue and then the base is spares from the regiment basing set. Then a nice bright paintjob to lure in the brigands and dregs... Work in progress on it... My Witch Hunter's warband for Mordheim... My Witch Hunter Captain from the Empire General plastic kit. Lovely kit, loads of interesting parts - the Mechanical Cherub will be part of an Inquisitor Warband for 40k. Heres his equipment - crossbow, bolts, timer and... witch-lynching noose? Nice work GW! Flagellants - had to change the weapon heads, as the ones from the actual kit looked ridiculousy huge, and didn't really represent the weapons I wanted to arm them with. The axe-type weapon will be straightened up before painting... Zealots - had to whittle some shoddy daggers for them to go along with the maces. All the bases are from Foundations of War - really nice, you can find them on eBay with a search. Wyrdstone for Mordheim - to go with my Treasure chest as objective markers/counters for games of Mordheim. WIP Champion for my Reiklanders. Not much left to do on him! WIP Marksmen. Some fully painted stuff later tonight! C+C? | |
