My skratch-built Killer Kans are a bit on the large side, I just plan on making an even bigger Deff Dread though!

Have you seen this on the GW website - added yesterday afternoon!

Bigger models have plus and minus -

Plus if it's taller it will have better lines of sight for shooting, minus is its easier to shoot at.

I use a Hordes Shadowhorn Stayr for my minotaur and it's so tall we ruled it can attack models level with it's head/upper body even if they're on a different floor! This balance out the fact there are very few places it can hide.

I'd just use them as Killa Kans to be honest.

What could be COOLER than a pack of hot wired psycho Goblins in homegrown metallic killing machines? Does anyone besides me find GW's Ork-speak such as Slugga, Shoota, Killa, etc. annoying?

I don't mind it really, I prefer the Orky names to the old Rogue Trader days with Orks and Marines both using Bolters!
I'm don't even mind the Soopa-Mega-Gattling-Whatever nonsense in Apocalypse and Epic if I'm honest.
(No surprise there really though, eh?)

Sorry if this is somewhat of topic...I'll get back on track in a moment.
Generally speaking I largely ignore the fluff the rules writers come up with...not having the opportuniy to play the game DOES have certain advantages. With the 40K Orks I JUST LOVE the minis & the modelling possibilities. When not forced by CRUEL REALITY to paint commission pieces, I work on my Orks ala 40K & Goblins of all stripes. Steampunky Kans have become the latest addiction...there's nothing wrong with GW's Kans & Dreds; it's that they're just SO out of my price range.

I liked the 'kustom' Kanz (more Ork-lingo for you Deaf!!! MUHAHAAHAH! Twisted Evil )... they are 'simple' enough to allow all kinds of hobbyist the opportunity to tackle conversions. The GW Kanz are fine... but over-priced. If they make a Kit where you could build one Killa-Kan and one Deff Dread (yes, one kit can make one of each... basically a small and a big body with lots of bitz!) it would sell like hotcakes.

I do like the direction GW is going with the modular Kits... all parts are interchangeable even with other kits, so this is not a far fetch dream.

That, I believe, is the new plastic Deff Dread, due to be released later this year. I hope it can be made into Killer Kans as well!

I spotted this Sucker by Smart Max over at The Miniatures Page...rather Ork:

Cedric Lemitre of Smart Max writes:
Smart Max release a new robot for their Mauser Earth range: Streetbot "Willy", the most common AFR (Armoured Fighting Robot) of the Atlantic Union.
