AND these Critters are from Reaper:

02889: Dire Rats ($6.99)
Sandra Garrity
The little Buggers even have a cobblestone base effect. Cool, huh?!

Ian, this is more of a modelling question; if you'd like, I could move the thread to the Painting & Modelling section...you'd get more of a response there.

AND, if you're in the market for some REALLY BIG Rats, these Thingys are also from Reaper...I'm using them in place of Dire Wolves in a Pirate style Living Impaired War Band:

02544: Barrow Rats ($8.99)
Jason Wiebe

ADDENDUM: there we go. It took a bit longer to move due to my ANCIENT PC's refusal to let me view your message...we OLD THINGS move OH SO SLOWLY.

No, they're supplied with round plastic bases and the stone effect base topper. Easy enough to pick up square bases elsewhere though, if that's what you want.

I bought these rats for my Skaven, and put them on square WFB bases. You can buy the bases seperately from GW or from third party companies, but I got mine from my roommate (he has tons of extras). They're pretty simple looking, but they work fine for me as I don't care much for the mutated GW rats. I'll see about posting a pic tonight.

THough I must say that the Warhammer Skaven Giant Rats & Rat Ogres pask is perfect if you are starting a Skaven warband. You get Six giant rats (I think) and two Rat Ogres. Thats one more than max, but it is always good to have one spare if oyu like to convert some too Very Happy

Or you could just order the rats from bitzbox or something like that!
