| No, they did you could buy two separate blisters with two dregs in each (one being a standard) or so I can only assume. The point being that specialist games is the gateway drug of wargaming. you buy a boxed set with two vanilla warbands and find glossy pictures of warbands built with near out of print minis and plastics from other boxes. So you go out and buy yhose 6 regiments (from wastly different armies might one add.) to make that one mini and then you have a 500point army so you might as well play the game and buy the rulebook and the army book and nag your friend who thought the original was only a tad above ' meh' and all of a sudden your standing there knee deep in annuals at the shop order point and no matter how many bodies youve got your always gonna be out of an arm or a base. It's like hotdog manufacturing 101 but on a world wide scale. Me, I'm only sitting here because 14 years ago I wanted to paint a Blood Angel Terminator from the game space hulk. Just to realize I had been painting a spacewolf. Disclaimer: This rant was not sponsored by inebriation, only lack of time. got minis to buy today... | |

| @ fungo: It was supposed to be a coherent text. (Although rants usually start out that way don't they.) @ Opheliate: The first step is admitting you have a problem. The second is to pretend it was an intentional ruse to rule the world through hordes and hordes of minis. (as most people are happy thinking your crazy and just glad your not spending it on drugs or umm...war.)
So todays lesson is don't fill air to ground missiles with a payload of minis and aim them at bordering nations. Just give them to me in a calm and orderly fashion.

| It all started for moi with the simple purchase of a box of Britains Ltd. minis for a game...47 years later, its buying JUST A COUPLE MORE MINIS for a game. When H.G.Wells wrote Little Wars, the first published set of war games rules, he proposed setting up a Temple of War where all the Generals, War Mongers & their ilk would be incarcerated to play war without interferring with the rest of humanity...GW is just carrying out this idea. | |

| ... and already I'm eyeing the new skaven boxed sets. Think its worth it if I buy three different boxed set, getting a total of, say, sixty skaven models, to make a warband of 15 (then I also must buy the Giant Rat/Rat Ogre box of course). Strangest thing of all is: This DOES NOT sound stupid to me! |

That could be because it's not...stupid that is. Figure that if you stay in the hobby as long as moi...pretty scary, but a possibility, SOMETIME in the next forty years you'll find a use for all those extra minis. AND they'll NEVER be as inexpensive as they are right now... SEE you're ACTUALLY being practical in a perverse sort of way.

They did make three. It's just one is very hard to find. Back in the days of Warhammer Quest, they produced an add-on called, IIRC, 'Lair of the Liche King'. One of the models for this was a hunchbacked, club-wielding human dreg called Igor. Together with the two Mordheim models, there are, indeed, three GW Dregs.

| That must be a very hard model to find, the hunchback that is. | |

| I think its a pic of it in the Mordheim Rulebook. He has like a strange collar too.
Though, if that model was made for another game and was not called a "Dregg" then it is still stranmge they just didnt do just that. Anyhow... |

| I'm not sure what game it was for, but the GW mini you're talking about is Luthor the Hunchback... cat#0799901312 if he's still available. In the '04-'05 catalog the little sucker went for $3.75; God only knows or could afford for that matter what it would go for now. | |
