Has anyone seen Arcane Legions? I just heard about it and it looks pretty interesting. This might actually fit under historical wargames because it has Roman and Egyptian armies. The models aren't of the highest quality and some seem to come pre-painted, but the game itself looks like it could be fun. Also, I'm not sure but the shop made it seem as though it works like a CCG in that you buy booster packs and things with random units which could kind of suck.

Cant seem to find the info, but as long as they are 28mm scale I think they would do fine.

Not completely sure, but iirc, at THE MINIATURES PAGE somebody commented tese model ARE NOT 28mm.

They are smaller (like 25mm) so maybe it's worth checking them "in person" before you commit to buy tthem.

Actually, they have their rulebook for download and they clearly say:

The figures in this game
are 25mm scale, and each
figure comes attached to a
small stand, or “footpad,”
that displays the figure’s
collector number and has a
number of pegs protruding
from its base.

Hope that helps.

Honestly it looks like a decent game, but a "blind-buying" model like other CCG's would be really stupid with a game that features 3 factions and, in theory, requires you to play a full army. Blind buys work ok with games like the clix system, because they only require relatively few figures to play and themed teams aren't necessary, but if you're trying to collect a full army of any one faction then it's stupid to do anything other than purchase from eBay or another online vendor that will break the boxes down for you.
