| I received these in an e-mail from a gaming buddy, who goes by Postchul on these forums. I have not checked the math but he does this stuff for a living so ill give him the benefit of the doubt! Food for thought!! | Quote: | "Here's some interesting statistics... Hero Level Up 44% = new skill/spell 7% = +1 S 7% = +1 A 17% = +1 WS/BS 7% = +1 I 7% = +1 Ld 6% = +1 Wound 6% = +1 Toughness Henchman Level Up 17% = +1 I 11% = +1 S 31% = +1 WS/BS 14% = +1 A 11% = +1 L 17%= Lads got talent
Its neat how they've got these stats set up. 2D6 is such an interesting dice roll, its basically a bell curve. Here's the numbers for casting/exploration... Diff 5 = 83% Diff 6 = 72% Diff 7 = 58% Diff 8 = 42% Diff 9 = 28% Diff 10 = 17% Diff 11 = 8% Diff 12 = 3% This shows how +1, +2 modifiers can really make a huuuuge difference. Since it basically bumps the percentages up. which makes a "12" a 1/6 chance...." |

| This was something I was taking into account when putting together the base gameplay for my game. Using 2d6 is nice way to get a curve and avoid a very linear progression. |
