I was surfing the net during my break and discovered a promo for a Bloodbowl video game (not sure if it was PC/C onsole). Does anyone know if this is available now and if so, on what machine?

Bah!!..i just read that the North American release date isnt till Sept..oh well back to terrain building.

Tewfik made it into a short multiplayer beta for this game. It was pretty awesome. I can't wait to play it.

If enough people get it, we can make our own League in game and play against each other!

just came basck from the Mall. Asked in gaming store when the NA ship date was...he said it was cancelled for NA distribution, Europe only.

I might have to order a copy from europe then.

Of course, I only take the word of game store employees with a grain of salt. It might have been removed from their system due to a lack of a date or something, but that doesn't mean it's necessarily cancelled.

There's no mention on the website or forums of the NA release being cancelled at all. There IS mention that the game will be released to Steam in September though.

And it looks like anyone can do the digital download from the website, which allows you to play in 3 days.

If people are interested in playing together, I'll do the digital purchase.

Looks like a very handy BB resource, I've tried to join but have had ALL kinds of trouble doing so. I was wondering if anyone else had managed to join up?

Ah, I've never actually played the tabletop game sadly. I went from WHFB to Mordheim. I was always intrigued, and the whole being able to play online with friends made it that much more intriguing.

Speaking of which, Tom's Boring BloodBowl League (private leagues are officially supported in game)... who is interested?

Anyone pick this up yet? A few guys at work bought it, so I might pick it up today to play in a private league with them. I'll create a League for TBMF if other people want to play together.

I'm considering getting this but all i'e seenis the ability to download it form the site. can't find any hard cd copies proof. or is that the same for other people looking into getting this?

Apparently it's a download only. And an expensive one at that.

A friend of mine is playing it lots and says it's fantastic. Just like real Bloodbowl. Apparently the online league option is fun.

Yeah, I just picked it up last night. I love it. The menus are a little clunky at first, but you get used to them. The game is lots of fun though.

And yeah, no boxed versions yet, just the download.

I downloaded a couple Saturdays ago.

The graphics are 10 years out of date and it loads rediculously slow. The interface is clunky everywhere , the controls aren't fully intuative and it isn't properly localized throughout.

The gameplay is awesome though. Probably one of the most fun games I've ever bought. Absolutely worth the $50.

It's nice to play a game where gameplay isn't an afterthought.

I tried it briefly at a friends yesterday (kicked his orcish butts with scaly lizard feet woop woop!)

As mentioned above - pretty much everything but the gameplay sucks

If you've played the old java application - it's just the same, but with graphics (still not good graphics, but it's there..)
The commentaries are a pain, and generally - it doesn't matter!

Sooo many stupid things which could easily have been improved, but all in all:

My own computer is too old and stupid to play but once i get one up and running i'm buying this game as a first, no doubt about that.
