Well after a HUGE Mega Fantasy battle today with my Dwarfs(we won by the way). My wife began talking and she really really wanted to get more involved with this area of my life and of course my boy was all about killing bad guys!!
So we ordered up LoTHS rule book and then came home and decided to order some minis from the WarStore.
Of course my son wanted to be some bad guy pirates, so got him the Black Scorpion ones. My wife loved the female pirates so ordered her a group of those, and I got some privateers. Three way battles on the high seas for us. I will keep you all posted.

Wow, congrats man! I really wish I could get my better half to sharing this hobby with me. That's pretty cool!

Also good choice on the BS Pirates. They're winners. thumbsup

I just started on some Mordheim style islets. If you're ever up this way, I could load you up with some Piratey terrain. AAAAAAAARRRGH! pirat

Congrats on getting your family to join in on the nerdity. Sir, yes sir!
My wife sort of reintroduced me to the joy of mini's, but since I turned out to be "better" than her at painting (she has a habit of belittling herself) she gave up mini's and continued with making jewelry instead. Still try to get her going again tho (even stripped one of my old Mithril dragons for her to paint).

And rest assured, when I start raising an army of drunken midgets (i.e. children) I will introduce them to the craft as soon as they pop out of the womb.

Piratey Terrain sounds good! I will take it one step at a time though for abit. Dont want to overload her just yet and push this great opportunity away!

Yeah, the Foundry pirates are great too - mostly. I do prefer the Black Scorpions though. Smile

Yeah the BS pirates are very detailed! They will be a blast to paint. The only thing Foundry has on them is that there are more to choose from. Wink Oh well though, get the best of both worlds and just have alot of fun, no matter what.

Been looking at your blog here lately and reading up on the FAQs and such. Trying to get a feel for it. Also I like the two scenarios you have in there as well.

Well for my first day off I had just got back from physical therapy for my knee....felt like i was back in High School and College going to "Two a Days" for football again, but good workout none the less. Then in a couple of hours I have to go get my hearing check done. I think Uncle Sam forgot what 'Vacation' meant. Mad

Well take a gander down a couple of posts and you will see what I have painted up already. I got some more painted and done, but we just recently moved and have not had alot of time to do much yet, hopefully i can correct that situation.
