Uh, you bastard....

Yes, I didn't say no and in fact I do have an idea where to host a meeting other than at my home, if you guys seriously want to come to Bremen to see me, I mean my stuff...

I can't really host people at my place because it's small and Chaotic (not in the cool way). I'd even have to unpack some of my stuff which I have already packed into boxes for when I move..

Sorry, I'm not too enthusiastic. It's just that I'd prefer to prepare the board and scenery first and my free time is currently very sparse and there are other things that I have to do first (Chaos Dwarfs e.g.) before focusing on tackling other projects, such as building the underground for the Empire village. I could easily bring out my BTB stuff (which I would probably force you all to play on/with anyways) but don't expect the village this year...

Anyways, if some of you would like to come then you are OF COURSE MORE THAN WELCOME and I'll do my best to make it live up to the spectacular events before. Very Happy

Hey hey, if we have to wait and let you prepare the (near) future meetup, with a lot of great scenery, a little organisation with a touristic tour of your city, of course I will wait !!! Razz

And it's not just for your stuff, I was disappointed you didn't come in Amsterdam Wink

Now you have a challenge ! thumbsup

(and next year, I promise I will do something in Paris, but I have to move to my new flat first cheers )

I will come, too, with an all new warband (or the pirates with some proper rules), as most of the old crew is dead or lost or eaten by gollum Sad

+1 ! I didn't want to force you, I just saw the hesitation, and I pushed the door just to see what you'll say, and you said that you're not ready, so I'll wait ! Smile

I'm in China on 22th August to 6th September, but after I'm free and on holiday ! Before, it could be difficult, but I'll try to be there if you organize something Very Happy

And it will be a pleasure to beat you again Mat (and Matt) Razz

The later, the better for me, as I just noticed that I have to paint up a new warband Suspect (perhaps my marauders, if that convinces cianty Very Happy )

And of course I don't want to push anyone (but it would still be awesome Wink )

Well, I am getting used to the thought... Smile

So in order to include Matt and his homie, what do you think of
August 14th - 16th

From what I got this suits everyone and I guess a week end is best.

Thoughts?

Eliazar: Marauders are cool OF COURSE, I could pit my Battle Monks against them. You'll have to bring your pirates though - we could play a LotHS battle and see how the real Redbeard is. pirat

Concerning restrictions, house rules, etc. I'd roughly say:
- Only fully painted warbands (good Boring Meetup tradition, right?)
- No WYSIWYG required (axes may count as clubs, Halfings MAY NOT count as Ogres, though - you get the idea)
- Border Town Burning setting: scenarios, random happs, exploration, etc.

Again, thoughts?

Final question: who's coming again???

- Lanyssa
- Eliazar
- Ezekiel
- Matt
- Nigel
- ?????

August? Crap...

*wanders off to his paint station*

Haha, just kidding, suits me fine! And afterwards, I go to Amsterdam pirat

A question concerning warbands... would a Protectorate of Sigmar (Letters of the Damned) warband be fine, too? I was thinking about that one for ages now.

EDIT: bounce I'm really looking forward to it Very Happy

Of course!

Might make me play Marauders then.. although that meant I had to paint Warhounds of Chaos.. yieks!

okay, I definatly suck at this. I'll be in Koln from the 14th to the 16th (Nigel is too), because we're going to the Gamesday.
sorry for being a pain in the ass guys.

btw, if I can come, i'll definatly do something chaotic (Ie, Chaos dwarfs, Marauders, you get the idea)

edit: ohyeah, and what do you guys think about
pistol don't have long range (i mean, 4 inch, wtf?)
Shield + cc weapon = +2 save instead of +1

I have to convert & paint almost the whole warband, I think Smile But anyway, this will at least get me started after my super-long break, I hope.

Funny to see these meetups really develop a life of their own Very Happy

@ Matt: Pistols have range 8", not 4". No long range means that you don't get a -1 penalty for targeting a model at 4" or more from the shooter. It is actually a good thing for the shooter.

Alright, you come up with a date then. Smile

close combat + hand-weapon giving +1 ADDITIONAL armour save, i.e. club + shield = 5+ in close combat, 6+ against missile weaons. That's how we usually play and that's how we'd play it too. In other words, the current way as it is done in Warhammer.

Is that what you mean or are you suggesting an additional +1 on top of that?

As we are on it... will there be penalties for dual wielding? Just so I know before I start converting...

And simultaneous rounds?

No to all those experimental rules trying to fix the dual wielding issue. Sorry.

Eliazar wrote:

Again, no. Either we meet to play Mordheim or we may switch to another system altogether. Razz

I am willing to implement and adjust house rules but as most of you know I am a kind of hardliner when it comes to the core mechanics of the game, because I am of the opinion that the game is rather fine and not broken like some are whining.

For the base for which rules are used, have a look at the House Rules PDF at my blog:
http://www.cianty-tabletop.de.vu/mordheim.php

Let me know what you would like to see differently!
