So, my gaming group have decided to start a Mordheim campaign. One of the guys has even gone as far to start creating a board - you may have seen it
https://boringmordheimforum.forumieren.com/t7473-modular-mdf-gaming-boardI've decided to play a Dwarf warband. Here is my starting force:
Noble, Light Armour, Shield, Dwarf Axe.
Engineer, Light Armour, Shield, Axe, Crossbow.
Slayer, Dwarf Axe, Axe.
Slayer, Dwarf Axe, Axe.
Thunderer, Mace, Crossbow.
Beardling.
Halfling Scout.
As of last week, I've finished painting this starting force - I thought I'd share it with you all.
Below is my Noble. I've used the champion model from the Forge World command set. Love this model to bits. All I've done is add a shield to his back, and a strap (for the shield to be held on to of course!!)
Next up is my Engineer. This is the banner bearer from the Forge World command set. I needed to cut off and re-sculpt the right shoulder and add the crossbow, bolts, and shield. Overall really happy with how this conversion came out.
The first Slayer in my list is an Avatars of War model kindly donated by Voodoodood. Stunning model - a complete joy to paint.
The second Slayer is from the Forge World command set, and again required no conversion. I love Slayers!!
My Thunderer is a Bugman model I picked up at my last visit to Warhammer World. I had planned to originally use the chair he hold as a mace, but I couldn't get a crossbow to look just right on the model. Overall really happy with the conversion, and the slight mould slip down his face almost looks like a scar.
My Beardling just uses a few plastic Warhammer Dwarf pieces, including the 'keg' from the cannon kit. Clearly this Dwarf can't be parted from his ale!!
Last but not least is my Halfling Scout. This was a simple conversion using an old GW Lord of the Rings Samwise model. In fact the only conversion was to drill through his backpack and add his bow - which is actually just a piece of paperclip.
Anyway, hope you've enjoyed my models. I'll add some more pictures as my warband grows once the campaign kicks off. Really enjoyed painting these Dwarfs; it's given me the bug to start a Warhammer Dwarf army...
