| Then I'd recommend that you check out Alionas. Some dodgy studio paintjobs of a couple of figures that I feel are particularly appropriate for Mordheim from their 'civilists' range: He's fat, he's rosy-cheeked and he's rotten to the core. He's ...The apple seller! She's old, she's ugly and she smells of fish. She's ...The fish wife! They also do a suitably mad looking candle seller, a scary step mother and a female baker who you really would not want to meet in a dark alley. A size comparison picture with GW's Aenur: Apple seller, baker, Aenur, candle seller & fish wifeI'll be using them for games staged in Cutthroat's Den. When I get around to painting them, I'll post some pics. | |

| Funnily I have added the apple seller and fish wife just recetly to my "wishlist" for my Gierburg project. Two very nice sculpts. Don't like the weird candle seller and baker though.. | |

| They ARE all REALLY cool; the Candle Seller has that Mordheim feel; i.e., several sandwiches shy of a picnic . Thanks for the post; I look forward to seeing your take on the minis. | |

| Nice one. I was wondering where such things should go before finally deciding, wrongly as it turns out, that resources was the best fit. | |

| "There are more things in Heaven & Earth than are dreamed of in your philosophy, Horatio." W. Shakespeare, Poet & Playwright OR "I feel a rant coming on." D.Nala, Idiot I think as Gamers we sometimes allow ourselves to be constrained by the Rules of our Gaming Systems in a manner that was unintended be the Rules themselves. The Rules set guidelines/constraints as to what is physically possible within the scope of the scenario the Rules govern; e.g., a human is capable of attaining certain maximum characteristics as denoted by the limits imposed on S, I, W, et al. War Bands have certain constraints as to composition & equipment available; i.e., it has a leader, several individuals capable of attaining greater degrees of prowess than normal, & varying numbers of "normal" beings. As long as we stay within these guidelines we are free to do anything we can imagine , AND if there IS one thing the folks on our Forum have in abundance, it IS imagination. NOW to the point: drawing an analogy to Berlin at the end of WWII. The city was destroyed utterly, virtually uninhabitable. However, it WAS inhabited. With the bloody minded tenacity that may or not be mankind's greatest attribute the people of a once great city did not merely roll over & die nor did they tuck their tails between their legs & depart for greener pastures [for the most part]; they stayed & by degrees restored their lives to something approximating what they once were. The same thing can be found with San Fancisco after the great earthquake, or Chicago after the fire, with Dresden, Hiroshima, Stalingrad...you get the idea. SO why not with Mordheim? Could that Old Fish Monger have strange mystical abilities & the charisma to draw followers to her? Just think of a War Band that might be created with her as its leader that has a prototype within the Rules & do a "counts as...pick your type" War Band. OR set up a Random Encounter Table possibly under the control of a Game Moderator or assigned by chance to one Gamer in a Fortunes of War manner. Stay within the structure of the Rules AND otherwise give you imagination free rein. THUS ENDETH THE SERMON OF THE DAY.Say "Amen". | |

| Well said Deaf! Ok so now it is time add too Deaf's rant with well....a rant,a small one, lage one, what have you rant,so gather up kidys, and pull up stool Mr.dwi's history class is now starting so shut up and listin! Right here we go: The French Revolution is what I call "a classic case of crap upon crap upon crap". France at the time was stalked by:famine, malnutrition and starvtion incresing the likey hood of disease and death (thats crap is it no't?) then thies facters sparked the revolution (thats also crapy) then at the last the king is killed (the finle crap upon craps) so we can safely say that Mordheim is also one of the "crap upon crap upon crap"cases with all the:murder, magic practices and deamons,(crapy anuf as it is) then the warpstone comit hits (very crapy) and thus bringing about the come ing of Be'lakor (very very crapy) so now that is astablished we may be able too slafy say that the fish wife like Deaf said could be a leader of a mob OR she could be a cult leader of chaos driven mad by warpstone OR a crone in a fishy (pun intened) get up as too avoid supishon OR maybe just maybe a deamon in human form! OR maybe shes just an old hag, whatever the case it's up too you too dieside who she or he is . Rant over Now thats two "Amens" if you ask me so Amen! | |
