In White Dwarf 298, there was an Campaign about Bugman. I really liked it so I tought lets make a Dramatis Personae. Here it is, Bazrak Bolgan the Brewmaster.

Bazrak is one of the oldest Dwarf Brewmasters in the expatriot Dragonback Dwarf settlement. His beers impress even the great Bugman, altough he could never rival this alemaster. An aging veteran who fought in the original Goblin Wars, Bazrak has retired from battle to lead a simpler life but still leads the beer carts from the brewery, his ever-watchful gaze wary of ambush, old insticts still sharp.

Bazrak Bolgan
M WS BS S T W I A Ld
3 5 5 4 5 2 2 3 10

Equipment:
Bolgan carries a Handgun, Gromril axe and wears Heavy armour.

Hire Fee:
60 Gold Crowns, 20 upkeep.

May be Hired: Any warband except Skaven, Undead
and the Possessed may hire Bazrak Bolgan
.
Rating: Bazrak increases the warband’s rating by
+60 points.

Skills: Bazrak has Quick Shot, Eagle Eyes and Mighty Blow.

Special Rules:
Bolgan's finnest: This rare brew of Bolgan's own concoction is said to fire up the spirit and fortify whoever drinks it. Only another Dwarf could sup this fine ale and stay standing such is its potency and strength.

Bolgan may take a draught of the brew at the start of his turn. For the duration of that turn and untill his next turn. His strength is increased +1 to 5. Each Time the brew is used roll a D6. On a roll of 1 the brew has run out and cannot be used for the remainder of the Battle.

Hard to Kill. Troll Slayers are tough, resilient
individuals who can only be taken out of action on a
D6 roll of 6 instead of 5-6 when rolling on the Injury
chart. Treat a roll of 5 as stunned.

Hard Head. Troll Slayers ignore the special rules for
maces, clubs etc. They are not very easy individuals to
knock out!

Please tell me what you think, and yes for the people who read that WD Smile I copied a lot, but only because this character rocks!

hmm First of all I think it's nice to have a dwarfen dramatis personae and i like the idea....but it seems to me he is a bit weak and all dwarfs have to be taken out of action on a 6 so remove that and give him more skills

Some issues I see with this DP:

1) He has Quick Shot, which is a skill that is useless for a character who does not posses a bow nor a crossbow. Remove the skill, or equip him differently.

2) His stats are decent;
Code:

Profile  M  WS  BS  S  T  W  I  A  Ld
Bazrak    3    5    5  4  5  2  2  3  10

The Average Stat line for a Dwarven Noble is as follows:
Code:

Profile  M  WS  BS  S  T  W  I  A  Ld
Bazrak    3    5    4  3  4  1  2  1  9
A Dwarf Noble costs 85 crown, is naked, and only has the Leadership skill. Yours has Mighty Blow & Eagle Eyes, Heavy Armour (50gc) and a Gromril Axe (15gc). On top of that, Bazrak can drink his beer and get +1S (with no ill-effects, short of runnign out) so he'd technically have 3 S6 attacks that hit on 3's for almost everyone in the game! He's a touch over-the-top for the 60gc pricetag. While his upkeep may be fine (I'd still adjust it to 30gc... the upkeep you'd pay for an ogre) I'd raise his hiring fee to at least match a Dwarf Noble! I'd even recommend that he begin at 90gc Hiring Fee, 30gc Upkeep.

Those are my thoughts anyways. Take them as you will. Cheers.
