Now, that's good news, perhaps another company which increased their price recently due to higher cost of tin will follow their example Very Happy

Wow, cheaper Reaper prices. God, I thought their prices were pretty low to begin with. I usually pick them up for DnD minis, myself. Good to see some prices are going down - thanks for the info Deaf.

AND, in addition to the price decrease on new releases, the P-65 Range in lead is offered at a substantial savings [from $.50 to $2,49 per mini. For us older Guys who started with lead minis, this is WELCOME NEWS as lead is SO MUCH easier to work with AND, has a LOVELY heavy feel to it. cheers

Because GW likes to pull every penny out of you, and Reaper doesn't?

Great, I am glad there are so many other companies that are not as expensive.

It's a pity helldorado and confrontation are not cheap AND are both cancelled.

So, Reaper minis are same size as GW and good?

Reaper minis are of a comparable size & quality to GW, whether you like them less, as much, or more than GW is a matter of personal taste...or lack thereof Suspect . The reduction in price of the new pewter pieces & the older ones, once retailers have exhausted their current stock of minis, is due the now lower cost of tin. They are in effect passing their lower production costs along to their customers. thumbsup

The lead minis are EVEN less expensive because lead is less expensive than tin. Lead ALSO isaneasiercastingmedium; ergo, the quailty of the castings is often of a higher quaility than those cast in tin. thumbsup

Being treated as a valued customer is, of course, an alien concept to GW patrons. Suspect

I see...

And in Reaper shop every mini says what's it made of?

Another question, what does the 'greens' section of their website means? Work they are currently finished and not yet available?

The lead minis from Reaper are the P65 range. They are the same minis that are offered in the Dark Heavens & War Lord ranges, just cast in lead rather than tin.

The "Greens" are WIP pieces that are due for release. As they become ready, a release date in usually added to the pictures.

I'll keep an eye on this thread if you have any questions, Amigo. We mini addicts have to stick together...or we'll get stuck separately. thumbsup

Yeah, thank you very much!

I know I ask 'wacky' questions sometimes. The fact is, miniatures is rather new to me (I bought some skeletons and stuff 4-5 years ago, but never played) and I am reconnecting now.

I see lots of different games and different producers of miniatures and it's just too much to learn hehe. Also, I see lots of nice but rather expensive stuff, or not readily available (helldorado, confrontation...) so I decided to start with Mordheim.

I thought your questions were pretty perceptive. Wink
I've been doing this stuff for a VERY LONG time, &, even so, the array of REALLY cool stuff available can be bewildering at times. When I started out, there was very little available & just about everything that was being produced was far poorer than what we've become accustomed to now. Some of the newer things, while stunning, can be quite expensive. Fortunately, there are a lot of beautifully done AND reasonably priced thingys available also. SO...if you're looking for something I MIGHT have the answer, or, if not, one of our knowledgeable Fellow Forumites probably does.
It's good to have you aboard, Amigo! thumbsup
