Scenario: The Gunpowder Treason with a Reason!

An important relic was buried in the middle of a ruined building hidden from everyone still breathing. Recently, a warband of … (depends) discovered this relic and desire its power but instead of taking it they decide to keep it buried until they manage to find a way to use it. An opposing warband of … (depends) find out about this hidden relic and seek to destroy it to prevent it from falling into the wrong hands. So, they seek to fill the building with gunpowder and destroy the relic.

Terrain
Each player takes in turn to place a piece of terrain from whatever is available. Note that once building has to be the key building for this game. (best to choose a strategic building.)

Warbands

Each player makes a Leadership Test (using the warband’s leader’s Ld) the one who fails sets up 5” away from the “Relic Building”. The other player’s starting point is decided by the same player who will be controlling the building.

Ending the Game
The game ends when either the 25% or more of the attacker’s models enter the building and stay there for 1 whole turn or someone fails a rout test.

Reward and Experience
+1 Winning Leader. The Leader of the winning warband gains +1 Extra Experience

+1 Survives. If a Hero or a Henchmen group survives the battle they gain +1 Experience.

+1 Per Enemy Out of Action. Any Hero gets +1 Experience for every model he takes out of action.

Reward. The Relic, being poorly buried, cracked and ended up being a chest of some sort filled with some treasure. Consult the table below to see what you found.

1-4 = 4 D6 Gc
5-6 = 2 Lucky Charms

Nice ideas!

It's simple, it's appealing. I like it.

Maybe we'll give it a try during our next gaming session in january.

We played a scenario somewhat like that once, and it turned out to be a catastrophe, because the author had forgotten to mention the victory conditions!!! There were no specifications as to WHEN a warband is considered as "holding" the building
Shocked
And we didnt notice until turn 3 or so lol!

I wanted the name to be similar to the "Remember remember the 5th of November..." nursery rhyme with a similar aspect of the true story of when Guy Fawkes wanted to blow up parliament.

My Next Scenario will be : The Fairy Tale (pretty interesting)

So if they "attacker" routes, does the building get blown up? or do they just realize it was just a chest with some coin in it?

Basically the building blows up and the relic is recovered from beneath the house. the relic was found cracked with treasure inside (it was made from some kind of strong metal or something).

There is a scenario called "The Gunpowder Plot" on the Specialist Games website, but it is totally different from your scenario(that's a good thing). Check it out under Articles if you like.
