Green Stuff Slings

So I'm doing some Skaven and I'm trying to be as WYSIWYG as possible. Unfortunately, all of the slings that come with the Night Runners regiment I bought are right-handed and Skaven left-hand options are pretty limited (daggers and shields without conversion).

Slings are pretty small, and foldable, and whatever, and I could probably just say they're using them for a belt until needed or in a pouch, but I'm curiously if anyone has some good ideas or suggestions for modeling slings onto skaven (either in hand or on their belt or whatever).

I just started using green stuff with this warband and my only tools are a grimy exacto knife and a wet toothpick, which is kind of rough but I think it's going ok so far.

Any ideas for cool accessories or other random uses for green stuff would be appreciated.

Great paint job on those Skaven. The green weeping blades look cool.

Roll a piece of GS out flat on a damp tile and leave it to cure for a few hours. Once the time has passed, cut out a strip with a wider section at the centre using a sharp knife.

Glue that piece to the top of a models clenched fist. Either have it hanging and empty or add a small GS ball as a stone and have the sling raised up like the plastic model.

Does partial cured green stuff stick to models without assistance? Maybe glue would be good just so I don't have to mash up the ends to get it stuck...

Green Stuff sort of sticks... but not enough to just put it on the model w/out glue at this size.

I have effectively used the "flat-plastic-coated-wire" commercial bread bags are closed with.

Dont know the name, but they are already flat, bendable, you can carefully cut the plastic part to narrow it a bit, and if you drill the hand holding it, you can very easily position it.

Oh, and you can add a GS pebble too!

Have any pics of that? It sounds like a great idea, but doesn't the wire show through quite a bit?

Um, there are some brands that are perfectly flat.

Maybe not from bread bags, but electronic stuff (used to hold together plug cables).

I'll search for that, and there are others that are flat on one side, that can be used too.

This isn't a sling, but a drum's belt. Nonetheless the idea is the same.

So I'm kind of getting the hang of it. Definitely a passable sling. Yes it seems silly to model a sling onto the original sling arm but bitmashing is crazy like that. What I'm still trying to figure out is a good way to represent a sling "holstered" on a model instead of in its hand.
