Hey Guys.
I have already posted a couple of things but I thought Id introduce myself formally.
My name is Darcy and im from Brisbane Australia. I play Mordheim weekly with three of my mates and I play Beastmen Raiders. We have been playing a custom Campaign that I created since November and we have nearly finished it. Im not that good at painting but my mate who has been painting for around 10 years is impeccable. Its perfect. My mates warbands are Undead, Reikland and Possessed. The undead guy has already been eliminated from the Campaign and it looks good for a victory for me. My rating is 334 so things are looking great at the moment. I love Mordheim because of the strategy and because you have a limited number of units in your warband it makes it very personal. You can make storylines for your heroes and play them accordingly. I have spent 5 weeks making the next campaign which I am going to play Averlanders and there well be 5 players in this one. Thats about it! Cheers

The undead guy didn't like to voluntarily rout. He stayed until all his guys were gone. He rolled terribly on the serious injury and he decided to start over again because his warband rating was <100. He started again then lost all his units again. Then he decided to wait for the next campaign.

If he wants, there is an unofficial way to get back into a running campaign without being TOO far behind. Check out the Road to Mordheim Option

Thank magorikon. Yeah I am really into Mordheim and I have secret alliances and use alot of strategy so I do everything I can to win! I am doing a Games degree at uni and spending months on creating campaigns (10 page rule book, maps, territories and territory bonuses, extra rules, new scenarios etc) is really fun for me, and I might be able to hand it in for assignements!!

Tis ana wesoem game, i havent played in years too, but i did try out the new map vs aome Ai for fun to see the changed.

Would you be willing to share any of your campaign ideas on this forum? I am always looking for extra campaign ideas and it sounds like you are putting lots of thought into yours.

Robertrunner - We have finished our first campaign and our second one starts on the 28th of March. We will have 6 players this time. Averlanders, Undead, Shadow Warriors, Dwarfs, Skaven and Orcs and Goblins will play apart, so it will be mixed. How it goes it pretty simple.
We print out a big map (last one was Basilea this one is actually Mordheim and seperate the map into 15 - 25 coloured territories and each territory is made up of three smaller territories. We start by picking out random territories out of a hat until all the territories are taken and we all have an equal amount. Each coloured territory has a bonus, so you need to occupy all three to get teh bonus. Bonuses can be like re-rolling a rout test, getting hired swords half price etc. In each campaign turn everyone gets one attack, and they get to chose a territory to attack as long as they have a territory next to it. The order of the campaign turn in determined by a dice roll. You can also intercept an attacking player if you have not had your attack turn yet, which makes it a 3 player FFA or a 2v1. If you win you get the defenders territory and the games go on and on like this. Once you contorl about 5 colour territories you win. Last campign i won with beastmen and my final rating was 383.
There are alot of other rules and we have changed about 15 of the rules to suit our play, including a customised Crit Chart, customised heroes serious injury, cover for shooting, armour, levelling up, and the ability to use a hero to search for fallen comrades equipment instead of searching for wyrdstone. (dont want to lose a hochland long rifle!). We also have a group of colour territories and if you control four of the same colour you get a HUGE bonus.

Thanks for the description of the campaign. It is almost like the game Risk except instead of rolling the small number of dice for each territory you fight out a mordheim battle. That sounds like a fun idea. I may need to "borrow" some of those ideas. If you would like to send it out I will certainly read it over and incorporate pieces if not all of it into my next big campaign. thanks
