Well, hello I suppose.
I think my entrance into mordheim is a fairly typical one: I've been playing warhammer FB for a few years now, and I was looking for something a little less time intensive. I saw Mordheim and I thought it might be fun.
I had a Frankensteinish episode three nights ago involving myself, twelve square feet of foamboard, fifty of those little bamboo skewers, a case of wine (the cardboard), and a truly indecent amount of hot glue, resulting in me being the proud owner of seven functional (but warped by Chaos) buildings. Me and my pops just started a campaign and played a couple of games and I just had a few questions.
Now, we already have armies so we just grabbed some of what we had laying around. I only have one army: High Elves, which I've played since 6th edition. So, I found the rules online for the Shadow Warrior Warband. I also read, however, that there are some balance issues. Does anyone offhand know what these balance issues are, and if there have been any successful tweaks?
Also, we've been incorporating some of the seventh edition rules, i.e. the additional +1 bonus for having a shield and handweapon in CC to try to make that a more attractive option. Anything else we should move over?
We were also considering changing Parry by having both players add their WS to their rolls and then comparing those numbers. We haven't yet, for balance fears, but under the current rules, an WS 3 human fighting a weapon skill 4 elf is more likely to parry than the elf, which doesn't quite make sense.
Anyways, thanks for taking the time to read this long-winded post. I would have posted it in the rules section, but I had to introduce myself so, voila.
P.S. anyone else find the emoticon with the crazy hair and waving the sign to be distracting? I feel like I should set him free or something.
