Readind here and there in this forum i've seen that some people says that not all the warband have access to all the type of armour; in the rulebook i've not found anything about armour restriction like the weapon (for the weapon there are 2 skill that permit to use what we want) so please can someone tell me all about the armors and the restriction?
thanks

It's pretty simple - models can use whatever weapons/armor is on their starting lists Smile

Each character can only use the weapons/armor available to it as shown on the equipment list towards the front of the warband rules. For instance, if you look at the skaven equipment list, there's a hero list and a henchman list. The hero list only has three armor entries: light armor, buckler, and helmet. Thus any model which uses the skaven heroes list can never use any other armor. Shields and heavy armor cannot be used. That is the armor restriction.

Note that ithilmar and gromril armor are just special types of heavy armor. Anyone who can wear heavy armor can wear ithilmar or gromril armor; they do not need to be listed in the equipment list.

Certain warbands such as skaven do not have access to all types of armor (in this case, light armor).

I was going to get all indignant and righteous and say "Yeah, its not in the rule book!" But then I looked and there it is on page 65 (in the original book). Its not a rule that comes up very often, since armor is not worth having in Mordheim games.
