| Last Updated 090110 231209 0414PM Captains log: HOLY EFFIN EFF...EFF. Polymer clay is my new best friend! Here I've been thinking it's for housewives thats slowly going crazy! So I sitting there thinking I need bigger dire wolves (duuh) and as I'm slowly running out of both green stuff and my prime armature material (hotglue and bamboo skewers) I started making a reely big dag and realized that with the exception of slight skinning I could make the whole guy from it. THEN!!! Then I noticed the slightly waxy translucent finish on the bare polymer. Obviously this will to an extent be lost when painted but we'll see as Ive done some twenty zombie armatures in this wonder material. (before anyone starts, yeah I'm painfully aware that you could settle for gluing up the GW ones but I only use those for bits nowadays as I get bored really really fast ) So anywho I found my alterego again (my necro) but lost my rulebook in the process Gonna get some batteries and do the whole shiny lightbox thingy tomorrow..or thats today as I've got 2kgs of the stuff and I'm thinking of redoing my maggoty vampire in the same material. 0430PM: Inspecting the first one and the pinkisch hue makes him look like a teeny tiny dead man with wire for arms and legs 0_o (yeah I'll get batteries tomorrow!) many a day later (090110): Ye olde crappe: The Marquis Excerpt of Buguz The Chivaleric bard's Biography 'The deadite's Cometh' Chapter's 66:1-402:99-'correspondance to the Lady': "...being born within one of the nameless royal court's of the Empire just to be discarded as another casualty of Selective (in)breeding amongst the nobility before even feeling his mother's warm bossom... ...Having in effect spies everywhere in the form of both deadites, Morr priests, apprentices and lesser tralls... ...The Monkey Shaman, the one who walk among the pink apes as a messenger from the gods... were able to snatch the child up before he even hit the first cliff outside the nursery... ...place him under the tutelage of one of his more trusted Ticks, although one is never to trust a parasite.... ...Modern day empire dwellers have bastardised the word Leech as synonymous with another necromantic parasitic construct of the Shaman's making... ...In his service he is building a reputation as a fierce fighter and bodyguard... ...slowly but surely learning the art of forcefull diplomacy suitable to that of the true ruler of the..."
Most of the inspiration for this guy comes from a painting depicting a clergyman a soldier and a nobleman who've all lost their legs (for begging purposes) in little beggars carts sort of running around in a circle ( 1 to anyone who can find a link to the picture. ) Loosing any point of inspiration on continuing on my second dreg I moved on to 'dreg the third' (from now on referred to as Dr. Aben D. Nacht) while making up his general frame and body size I kinda had a moment and seeing as I had at least a slight battery charge I decided to share: - Spoiler:
Daddy? Updates to come just waiting for the GS to dry. (unfortunately he lost his "daddy why did you cut my feet off?" look the minute the mask went on but oh well.) And! Crushed by falling debris markers! After using my mad mathematical skillz I have concluded I will only need two ghouls! yay! >_< aw crap, It seems the whole serious dreg concept is falling on its nose. oh well. pics comming tonight! with the first half finished zombie of the group, only eight more to go! yay! Finally some pics...this time without the über elite lighting technology - Spoiler:
yellowisch ( Let's call them aged...) pics first. pics of new falling debris OOA/impassable terrain marker in new army colours: and mucky groupshot of the band of miscreants so far. left to right: [-]vamp, [The Marquis]Dreg, [-]Dreg, [-]Necromancer, [-]Dreg, [-]ghoul, [-]Zombie.

| Cool bit of Fluff. Are you going to be adding photos of your developing War Band to enhance the story? If not, we could move the thread to the Battle Reports & Fluff Section for you. | |

| Women can be SO unreasonable at times. COOL! I was REALLY hoping you'd be putting up photos. With all that WONDERFUL background, you've already painted a vivid picture of the War Band even without doing up the minis. AND your Avatar & the Chap above give the impression that your War Band will be something VERY special. Good luck stealing...borrowing the lamps. | |

| As of right now, (having put the finishing touches on the necromancer.) I am not sure it will appeal to everybody, in that sense that it would be what an undead warband is supposed to look like. but there will be plenty of zombie-ism so noone need worry too much. | |

| Anyone know where I could find a 28mm scale silverback? and a giant bunny, plastic(as in toys will work) if available somewhere between ogre and giant sized would fit the bill I think. | |

| For the Bunny & Silver Back, check out the Toy section of a decent Craft Store. Over here Michael's has quite a nice selection of reasonably priced paintable animals of the somewhat-large type. One of the Guys from the Wyrd Forum came up with this home grown Killer Bunny from HELL. I thought you might get a kick out of the Beasty. Cool Huh? | |

| @Identity:Yes! found a likely candidate for a headtransplant thanks for the heads up on reaper minis, never paid them much attention before @DeafNala:Saw that one over at CMON, brilliant in all its simplicity, love the whole style from the sculpt to the painting, great drool too. Guess I'll just have to check the craftstores, gonna keep you updated on that | |

| - Spoiler:
Epic Poem of the fall of Dr.Rhemann Subhuman races Anthropologist Scribed by Buguz The Chivaleric Bard: Chapter 3 'the Sartosan border mission of the Open Palm':
She Said upon his waking;
'We are building a religion We are building it bigger We are widening the corridors And adding more lanes We are building a religion A limited edition We are now accepting obedience for these golden pendant chains To resist it is useless It is useless to resist it'
The incense was burning But it never seemed to ash. She calleth him 'DUDE!'
Now today is tomorrow And tomorrow today And yesterday is weaving in and out
And the fluffy white lines That the barges left behind Are drifting right in front of the waining of the moon She served him food He learnt about a party She said unto him 'DUDE!'
He Spoketh:
"Now do you believe In the one big sign The doublewide shrine On the bootheels of your prime"
'...Does matter little if you are skinny matter's less if thou art you fat You shall dress up like a sultan In an onion head hat;
We are building a religion We have etched in you our brand We are the only ones to turn to When your castle's turn to sand Take a bite of this apple, Dr. Rhemann Verstemt Take a walk through the jungle Of wheelbarrow shanties and tents'
"Some people drank potions Some people drank ale The wacky morning jester's Said the emperor's a joke"
she said: 'Now do you believe In the one big song, He's now accepting callers Who would like to sing along' She says; do you believe In the one true edge By fastening your leather belt And stepping towards the ledge'
"She was handling a monkey. And she was serving food."
'He is now accepting callers'
"She called upon me 'DUDE!'-
-Now do you believe In the one big sign The doublewide shrine On the bootheels of your prime"
She said: 'There's no need to ask directions If you ever lose your mind We're behind you We're behind you And let us please remind you We can send a cart to find you If you ever lose your way//
//We are building a religion//
//We are building it bigger//
//We are building//
//A religion//
//A limited//
//Edition...
We are now accepting prayers... For these beautiful...
...Golden Pendant Chains//

| As I've made a tradition of sneaking in questions on animals in my undead warband thread I wouldn't want to break it now that I'm reviving it. Anyone know a good 28mm scale duck dealer? I'm looking for high qualitty duck here, although if at all possible I'd rather be without resin one's. Geese might be of interest too as they have a more pronounced waddle. | |

| as it isn't mine but a guy from CMON that deaf found while gorilla hunting I can't. I do on the other hand remember WIP pics of it with all kind of tools layin about that would sort of serve as scale comparators if you've got similar tools around. since it was close to a year a go it might have vanished but go have a look at CMON. | |
