WoW: Anyone Adventuring in Northrend?

As I've said before, all my other hobbies unfortunately suffer due to my adiction to World of Warcraft. Be that as it may, I did get the Wrath of the Lich King expansion for Christmas and am loving the new continent.

Just wondering if anyone else is kicking around up in the frozen north, or one of then billion death knights roaming the countryside? If so, what do you think of the whole expansion experience?

Hehe, well I quit just about a month before the expansion came out. Some of my friends came by for New Years and they said they are enjoying it quite abit. They want the Mrs and me to come back and play, but not sure yet if we will.

ALL three of my sons are in the new setting, which saves me from spending the WHOLE day here on the Forum.

Well I know one thing for sure, I get a ton more stuff done around the house, and more painting done as well since I quit.

just got my troll lvl 11, its on Khadgar. So far from getting to Northrend

I had to quit, boredm unfortently set in due to arenas and generally the games changing persona... its not what it was back in the origional days, and i found arena far too timely in terms that matches could take hours for some points... that and only certain combos worked.

ever played 4 warrior/druid or hunter druid matches in a row? (As a warrior / druid combo yourself) i spent like 5 hours on that lot, won 3 lost 2 and i only gained 5 points... yeah such a annoyance.

i'm done with mmo's, more paint and real life fun time.. theres things called girls in it.. *whispers* Skavenblight says shes one, but as every kid on line says girls dont exist online... so i reckon shes a robot! *runs*

Never tried the Arenas myself, to be honest. I solo a lot - get a kick out of just questing. Do the odd Battleground or Instance now and again, but mostly I just like reading the quest and exploring the world.

My 71 Human Paladin, 58 Night Elf Death Knight, and 9 Drenai Warrior are all on the Blackwing Lair server - Alliance for me. Programmed to be Awesome guild.

But yeah, I was always slow in painting to begin with, but WoW certainly hasn't helped me any.

Yeah, when WoW first came out I enjoyed it quite abit, for the storyline.

Heck, I am still trying to get through the basic game. I have the first expansion,but at level 39 after two years, my time has been split with Silent Hunter series, FEAR, THIEF, and GUILD WARS, I don't know if I will ever be a power player.

I must say, WoW saves me a load of cash. For 15 bucks a month, I don't buy near as much games anymore. In seven months, I've acumulated only 4 other games for the PS3 and played two of them - finished one. Got rid of my Xbox, gave my Xbox360 to my sister, and left my PS2 to collect dust. I don't use the Wii much either, but the kids still love it.

I'm no power player (still very ignorant at 71), but it's one of the few video games I play.

Never played Fear, Thief, or Guild Wars though.

Sorry to double post, but I just read a little something that said in the upcoming patch, all players will be allowed to create a Death Knight on a server they play on (not just on a server where they have a min 55 lv character). Super

As it is I can't walk 5 feet without bumping into a death knight . . .

Death knights will be nerfed soon due to being extremely overpowered class so the patch notes and whining says, so people may slip back to their origional class.

broken overpowered arena class at moment i hear so good riddens (Even though i dont play WoW they were stealing the warriors role)

I've been playing my DK a little - it's alright, I guess. Up at level 58 now - and yeah, it is a mix of warrior with some warlock powers. Basically, my 13th level warrior will be a duel wielding dps character, while I think my DK will stick to two-handed weapon dps. Huge difference, I know but it's something to do.
