Hi folks, well... as promised, here are some shots of the figures I've been collecting to use in a Mordheim setting...

Firstly - A Middenheim warband, created from (what I believe to be) old Foundry Norse figures...(if anyone knows otherwise, feel free to let me know!)

Firstly - The Captain (Centre,) and Heroes (either side)
Rich's Middenheimers Middheroes

2 Swordsmen with 2-handed axes
Rich's Middenheimers Midd3

2 Swordsmen with axes and (currently invisible) shields
Rich's Middenheimers Midd2

2 Swordsmen with axes and swords
Rich's Middenheimers Midd1

The models are due to have the old pre-slotta bases removed, and will be re-based on modern slotta bases... they should be ready for action sometime in January... I'll post the full troop roster for the warband later.

Also, I don't currently have any good Norse/Middenheim style names for the warband... if anyone has any suggestions (serious, or otherwise!) again, feel free to put your ideas forward!

Nice models Rich!
I love all kinds of Norse minis, and these are among the best I've seen Smile

What about "(insert norse name, which ever you like best)'s Wolffangs"?
Not very original, but still fitting to the models.

Right then... my proposed roster for this warband is posted below. Please note that I've switched the 'Champions' in the pictures, for the 'Swordsmen' with Double-handed axes... this is a tactical move, so that the Champions get their Strength 4 Characteristic, and also get a +2 strength modifier in hand-to-hand combat... a wise move? Or should I give them back their swords, so that they have 2 attempts to 'parry' attacks?

Mercenary Captain armed with a Sword and Axe ---- 75GC

2 Champions armed with Double-handed Axes ------100GC

2 Swordsmen armed with Swords & Axes ------------ 100GC

2 Swordsmen armed with Swords & Shields --------- 100GC

2 Swordsmen armed with Swords & More Swords - 110GC

Which means I've spent 475GC so far... I'd appreciate any input about how/wether I should spend the other 25GC at this point... also, should I have all my henchmen as 'Swordsmen,' or should I save some money, and have some 'Warriors' - saving money, but sacrificing the Weapon Skill?

Here are some ideas for names from the top of my head. Maybe it helps you:

Wulfgar Gunnarson
Beogar Vuhlsen
Krob Vulfang
Trul Henrik

And a humoristic name that I made up (I'm quite proud of that one Very Happy ):

Binson Tohst ("Beans on toast")

Thanks for mentioning my nick-name Laughing

I would equip the swordsmen with swords, otherwise they won't get their bonus when charging. Could be better to use usual henchmen instead.
I also think you're limited to 5 swordsmen.

As I said for the Reikländer, Youngbloods are important(and very cheap too)
Double-handed weapons for champions are ok I think, see that one of your swordsmen stunnes the enemy and your champion can finish him, then this should work.
