So while searching for a retailer for the Hudson & Allen Studio leaf litter, I came across an article posted on Reaper Miniatures. http://www.reapermini.com/TheCraft/24

So I set out to find a Birch Tree. I must say that I am quite impressed with the results. Maybe a little bit time consuming, but no so bad as to turn me of from it. But on the plus side I can harvest as many leaves as I want and they are free!!

Anyways thought I would share.

p.s.

Now that I think about it ..this post might have been better in the Painting and Modeling section Embarassed

Thanks for a VERY useful post. That's a cool idea AND there ARE quite a few Birch trees around here. thumbsup
Actually there are a myriad of natural thingys that can be used in making bits of terrain. It's just a manner of looking at things in a different manner. My friend Steve used to go on day long expeditions in search of usable flora & fauna [of the deceased variety]. His wife used to refer to this as "he's out grazing". Suspect

Are there still some birch seed lying around the birches at this time of the year? If so, I'll go and have a look.

That's really an extremely useful tutorial!
