Being new to this thread: amazing work! Your marauders have a lot of personality to them.

I particularly love the blood-covered snow below the hound's jaws. That being said, having considerable experience with blood and snow (I grew up in a ski resort town, and served as ski patrol at one point), I can tell you that a small amount of blood can melt a lot of snow. So in the future if you add more blood-covered snow (and I hope you do), try making a depression in the snow where the blood is.

Keep up the great work!

Edit: I just realized that any readers from the UK might consider my (previous) use of the adjective for "blood" to be offensive. I'm not sure what the rules governing that word are on this forum, but for the time being I have removed the word, just in case.

Yeah, more chaos dwarves!
I think you used some fresh collours on your chaos dwarves, I always thought it would look weird to see chaos dwarves with non black beards, but it looks great!
I hope we will see some more painted model soon Very Happy

* UPDATE *

Okay lads, Im back......
So begin with the awesome Avatar Of War Chaos Dwarf, I got him primed, Basecoat, scroched brown-drybrush...

, then mixed mithril silver with burnished gold for the next layer....then washed with gryphone sepia

then a wash of badab black...the beard was painted solar macharius orange and given a baal red wash

then a devlan mud wash over the beard and I began layering his cloak....

I wanted him to have a really striking looking cloak, so I mixed chaos black and liche purple for the basecoat
then worked it all the way up to a tiny bit of tentacle pink with warlock purple then washed with the leviathan wash...

This is where Im at with him now, its time for some highlights to his armor and beard....

But my eyes hurt and Im hungry....

so...moving along to some WIP stuff....

my Black Dwarf Sorcerer

re-based my warband!!!

man I love those Heresy bases....

oh and something for a future warband????

Cheers and cold beers!!! thumbsup

VERY COOL! The Lads are coming along at quite a nice pace, AND looking good. The bases look EXCELLENT, plus they'll add a bit of weight for stability's sake. KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK, Amigo! thumbsup

The Conan-looking guy is cool. The Marauder head seems to work well. I would have expected it to be far too big on a Hasslefree figure but seemingly not.

That Grey Hunters box is a blast from the past! I remember back in the old days playing Rogue Trader 40k and I was playing Space Wolves anyway. Then those models were released and I was overjoyed. They are still useable too, they take the new Marine arms fine.

Im glad you all like them as much as I do, although I think someone in my game club said they were more Nippon than Cathay...what do you guys think as my Warhammer history is not as in depth as my 40k knowledge.

Blackjack, you old devil you! Razz
Yes I have used that pose before, I got one for Necro Ash Waste as you know, figured gotta have one for BTB too!

He is probably right. There's no definitive answer to that because GW has never leaked much knowledge on Cathay and Nippon and I think we have pretty much everything collected for BTB. In general it is quite safe to assume that Cathay = China, Nippon = Japan. This can be assumed not only because of the name references, but also because of their locations on the Warhammer map and from what is known about them and parallels to the real world that can be drawn. So with Samurai occuring in Japan it is fair to say that they are rather Nipponese. But who really cares? This is a fantasy game after all. Smile

Very nice minis - but - It might be the photos that are a bit decieving. IMHO those plasticheads look a bit to big for the bodies.

Maybe its just my eyesight - But can you take a few shoots from some other angles - perhaps a bit further away.

Otherwise keep up the good work - and get that chaos dwarf finished :-)

I will try and take some pics of them again, got some painting done on them, but I HAVE to paint my Dwarves.

Cianty, I guess they will be Nippon then, what rules should I use?
I also have a ton of blisters of Clan War, may have to make an enemy warband and some terracotta warriors!

By the way, thanks for the help in getting my account fixed again, also your Pirates are amazing!
