| I'm a computer nerd.
I spend 16+ hours a day surrounded by computers. and I pay for things by making websites for people. www.websitesinaflash.com is my "company." My office is in my house.
I'm actually programming a small web-based game for Facebook. I'll probably ask you guys to help be Beta test it when It's ready. _________________ -Ashton Sanders -Mordheim in Montana Blog |

OK. Why not.
To answer the thread's question:
I am an undergrad student at the University of Vienna, but currently I am doing an ERASMUS (= study abroad programme for Europe) in Leicester, UK. I will probably finish in 2 years time *fingerscrossed*
But that is just a cover story I tell everyone to distract from the fact that I really am a Kobold in human shape (I won't go into details about what went wrong during the spellcasting...). I got onto this plane through a temporary dimesion-portal. The problem is that the portal closed behind me, and my cauldron full of gold (every Kobold has one of these and cannot be separated from it, lest his essence starts to fade away) was left on the other side. The only way I can go back to my homeworld is by opening another portal. And this can only be achieved by painting as many miniatures as I can before my essence vanishes.
So far, I have managed to open a tiny crack in inter-dimensional space time. But that crack happens to be behind the toilet so apart from being only big enough to accomodate my pinky toe (human-size pinky toe) it is hardly accessible... _________________

| I'm a professional Crazy, mildly Disreputable, Old Man & Minis Addict.
I've also been a sailor, worked in numerous mind numbing factories, been a museum tour guide & naturalist, played soldier with the U.S.M.C. [U.S.N. Corpsman attached to Fleet Marine], wasted 25 years as a main frame computer operator [the kind you see in old B scifi movies], AND painted minis/made terrain for other folk to support my addiction. I also [kind of] earned degrees in in English Literature & Anthropology [the uselessness of these degrees appealed to moi].
Presently, I'm permanently disabled & receiving S.S.D. [that's Social Security Disability, I'm much too far to the left for any fascist interpretation]. I'm devoting the remainder of my life to The Craft, & regaling you all with words of wisdom & wit.
However, being a Crazy Old Man has always been my life's ambition; all the other activities have merely been a way of achieving this noble position. |

| Currently, I'm doing my final exams to become an Art Director (in this case the commercial kind, but I want to go on and get into games and movie concepts) -and yes, I did waste a bunch of years studying a varied range of studies, for approximately 3 months each, until I decided to travel a bit,and not going for prestige jobs or university grades, but just do what I actually LIKE
I pay for this by stealing from tourists - it's higly lucrative - next boring meeting at my place!
seriously, I work in a surf/snowboard store selling bullshit and beautiful equipment/ I build websites/ manage some of them I do the occasional Art Directing/Graphic design job for my dad's firm (also a graphic company)
Mainly I manage to waste all that money on parties with couchsurfers - of which I host quite a lot), travels, equipment for modelling, sailing, snowboardin, surfing, building stuff around my house, and music (I tend to break a lot of strings )
Unfortunately, come september I loose my parents backup, seeing as my studies are all done, plus my rent will go up a large amount, so... I'm gonna need to find an actual dayjob... not looking forward to that, I need more time for my hobbies! |

| i am (dependent on what the boss decides to describe me as) I.T technician, I.T. Manager, Marketing manager, assistant manager and Photographer in an antique shop in stoke on trent.
(basically I sit in my office taking and processing photographs of new stock, put some items for sale on internet media, such as ebay and other dedicated antique auction sites) and listen to telesales people with their increasingly outlandish reasons why we as a company should change phone suppliers or webpage hosts to their company.
In my spare time, I am trying to establish myself as a wedding (and family portrait) photographer and also learning to play piano |

| I'm a video compressionist for one of the biggest post production houses in the industry. I do mainly Disney stuff now but have also worked for the Paramount and Fox units as well.
Basically, I try to make the movies look as good as possible no matter how much crap the studios try to cram onto the disc. This involves pouring over every shot and tweaking settings to avoid common problems like macroblocking, anit-aliasing, etc. If you happened to see Die Hard 4 on DVD (either NTSC or PAL), I did the video. Unfortunately, we're allowed less and less time to do our jobs. But we do our best and fight for as much time as we can possibly get. |
