| Yay! Ship n°2! Great. Can't wait to see it painted WBK.
Have you ever thought of making cannon holes with lids on the ship's flanks?
Anyways, great job. _________________

| i wanna build a ship too, these look so great.
but do you use your ships as terrain pieces and simply do a mordheim game for the boarding or do you use rules for ship combat? |

| I think da Warboss is using the rules from the General's Compendium, which seems be in the possession of every Warhammer gamer in the UK |

Ooops! Sorry - I somehow missed the body part of the question! It's from the new Ork Biker box.
Not much done, just added a pennant:

| We didn't really write campaign rules as such - it was a narrative campaign.
I wrote the background (basing large chunks of it from fan-written stuff about the pirate island and the ideas Flame On came up with from their own army's backgrounds) and I put together a spreadsheet to record the results of games.
The players were divided into factions and they fought battles to earn points for their faction. The scoring system changed a little as we went along as the original system didn't work brilliantly. It was a simple "3 points for a win, 1 for a draw" in a pre-chosen location from the campaign map. Later we added bonus points for multi-player games and weird things like naval games, skirmishes and sieges. If a faction had 3 more points in a location than the next highest score they gain control of that location and everyone in the faction got bonuses in games played there. Control could (and often was) be wrestled from one faction to another.
Players were encouraged to write narrative battle reports and to tell the story of what happened to their army in between games. I wrote a weekly news letter about the events that were unfolding and wove together the stories that the players were creating from their (mis)adventures. At the end of a pre-determined time the campaign ended and the faction with the most controlled locations was declared the winner.
You can follow the two campaigns on these somewhat long threads on Da Warpath (The Flame On forum is harder to follow as it's all jumbled up together now):

I want to see some red flags, in addition. |

| That's really cool. The finish on the deck is especially well done, & the coiled rope is a nice touch. It reminds me of a Higgin's boat;i.e., a WWII landing craft.
Could we have more,sir? |

Just two: The Hogwasha and the red cutter. Plans for at least two more at the moment. The Rotmoon: a sloop, slightly smaller than the Hogwasha. The black cutter: similar to the red one. _________________ Adm'rul Kurgan Grimjaw Swashbuckling Pirate Orc Warlord of the Ironfang Fleet

| HEY ADM'RUL, Well you've done it now. I've got my first Goblin Pirate Ship about 2/3s completed with the basic hulls cut out for two sister ships, ARRRH! What an absolute gas it is to make these suckers. This could be the War of 1812 Mordheim style, or may be not .
When I get anything together worth showing you, I'll post some pics through the Super Tom photo link. Thanks for the inspiration!
I'm making a conscious effort NOT to too blatantly copy your work. Of course at my age, everything is an effort [sigh]. |
