| This is a bar that I'm working on for my OOA to go after a hard day's plundering.
The textured floor with about half the parts glued on. Tables, chairs, tankards and bottles, the barman and strippers will go in painted later on. The table lookin thing in the top left hand corner is actually the stripper podium. I'm still deciding whether a pole should go through the middle of it. I'm using the dark eldar slaves as the strippers and just a converted dwarf warrior as the barman.

The wall has been cut and is slotted in for this pic. I've still got to cut windows and glue the wooden slats onto the outside. I've also got a bunch of hirst arts lion head lookin things that I'll glue around the inside walls. I'll spray the walls before I glue them in.

So what i need to do from now is the wall details and then make a floor that slots in on top of the sin bin so that it's usable in a game (I can just take it off then place the OOA blokes in there). I'll probably make a little door or flap for the gap in the bar. And also glue sand around the outside of the base of the building. Hasn't taken too long actually - once all my hirst arts casts arrived. |

| "The Sin Bin" LOL Very nice idea to create a little space for your OOAs. It's certainly better than cramming them on a table corner, just waiting to get knocked over.
I am really looking forward to the completed interior of your taver _________________

| Okay. A couple more steps in the process have been done. I've cut out the second floor and the third floor (not pictured) but still haven't glued any of the structure together. I've also glued all the slats on the first floor.
A few things to note: I haven't made the stairs yet and haven't decided where I'm going to put them. I normally like to wait until last before I decide that. The corner posts from the ground floor haven't been glued in yet because the walls haven't been glued in. I'll do it tomorrow *lazy sigh*. Also, the pics aren't very detailed because I'm using my phone to do it so I don't have to bother with resizing photos from my camera. They upload quicker too!

I've just realised that I haven't staggered the floorboards on the second floor. I'd better get the pen out tomorrow and do that! |

| Here's an updated view of the outside (without the floor) which will be ready to paint after I put some signs and minor details on. The small third floow has been attached too. Its not the prettiest building but I wanted it to be good to play on as well.

Comments/criticisms welcome. |

| It looks good man. Are you going to build in any ways to get onto the second floor without climbing? _________________ -Ashton Sanders -Mordheim in Montana Blog |

| | Yeah, I mentioned earlier in the post that I was going to leave the stairs/ladder until last because I'd rather wait to see where they'd fit. Even though I'm thinking I won't be using the ground floor of the Sin Bin as playable terrain anyway. I think it'll just be where I put my OOAs. |

| | Looks very nice. I can't tell from the pictures (crappy work computer) if you used balsa wood for the flooring. Looks like either a large sheet of wood or foam board with lines drawn on with a pen. Care to elaborate? |

| @Dubstyles: The floor is foamboard with lines drawn in with a pen. I still need to draw in staggered floorboards but I'll do that after I cut a hole for the stairs/ladder.
I'm perhaps considering making access up to the second floor only from the outside. The bar is completely packed with detail and it would be a shame to cover any of it with stairs.
@Da Bank: I'm getting the barman and a few more details (shields for the walls, chair tops, etc) tonight so it won't be long until I'll start painting it. |

| | So are you going to score it to emulate wood grain or handle that with a streaky paint job? I once heard that a wire brush (like the kind used to clean grills) is great for texturing foam, although I’m not sure if it would work on the paper surface of foamboard... |

| I don't think I'll make a woodgrain texture, i think I'll just drybrush it. The second and third floors aren't the attraction of this building so I'll probably leave them pretty bland. I've got some assessments for university coming up soon so I won't really have the time to do any more.
I'll post more pics soon with some walls, details and hopefully some paint!
Cheers ~ Steve. |

| | Good luck on your University thingy. Reality does have a habit of rearing its ugly head & intruding on the creative process. I've enjoyed your posts as I'm sure all us Mordheimers have, & I look forward to the continuation of this project. It's got me thinking of doing a Red Light District. Thanks for the motivation/inspiration. |
