| Haha! Cool! I like the mansion-type house
Well done.
The colour scheme you'll give them really depends on your peronal taste. Hard to say how you should paint them.
PS: Just one little comment on the gaps between floors. Try to close/hide those. _________________

| | About painting them i didn’t mean so much the paint scheme but the technique I am not sure applying paint strait to cardboard is a good idea |

| Cardboard is probably difficult no matter what you do. I'm sure it will bend. Maybe try to undercoat it do lots of praying to Sigmar and then we'll see what happens. If it's still ok, you can then apply the actual paint.
But that's just guessing. I assume that building buildings out of cardboard is not a good idea. Maybe I'm wrong. Would be good. _________________

| Yeah, cardboard is s*** when it comes to painting Sorry mate.
BUT you have a solution: you can SPRAY the buildings. It won't look as "neat" as when painted with a brush, but you can make it burnt out by leaving vague areas of black. In fact I like to "burn out" my buildings a little with some black primer AFTER the final paint job, around windows and broken roofs.
Buy a brown, beige and black acrylic paint spray, and that should work (careful: NOT shiny but mat). Alternatively (and muuuuuch better) you can use an airbrush if you are the lucky owner of one.
Last possibility: use oil colors/acrylic colors but do almost not water them down. Use them raw. That will be a bit more wasteful for the colours, but it will also reduce the curving of the cardboard.
Let us know how the little experiment turns out! _________________

Well Said Cianty. HAHAHA
My two bits would be to ALWAYS test it first on a scrap piece. Nothing is worse than destroying a perfectly good building you just slaved over for hours, when all you needed was to test it first... not that i've ever done anything that stupid....
seriously.... _________________ -Ashton Sanders -Mordheim in Montana Blog |
