More work was done at lunchtime today - I'll post photos tonight or tomorrow!

Zelophahad finished drybrushing the cobbles on the baseboards (still lots of work to be done on the harbour though), Chris got the clock-tower assembled (it was always just balanced in the photos before today) and I finished all the woodwork on a house and started the interior wall colour.

We put all the terrain we had on the boards and took some pics: Lots of empty space still but we are getting there!! It's all looking pretty good now - we should have a respectable Mordheim board in time for our "Mordheim Saturday" on the 26th!!

Haha! Good job! I think what you are doing with this foamboard is really amazing. I'm surprised and amazed at the same time. Great artwork for sure!

Good work.

My only recommendation would be to add more depth to all of the flat walls somehow so they don't look so flat. Maybe add some wooden framing on the corners, or footboards, or something.

This two are pretty much finished:

This is a new one (sort of... I started building it in 2000!)

This texture?

It's textured wallpaper!! I have seen some that looks like thousands of tiny cobble-stones, but we couldn't find any. This stuff looks good though, so we aren't worried. It's super-cheap too!

I've totally missed this thread! There is some fantastic work in here!

I wish I had the patience to draw in the woodgrain onto my foamboard that I build my buildings with!

Well done to all and can't wait to see more! The colors of the buildings are fantastic too - the contrast between the interior and exterior works well. I'm going to have to remember to add those burnt lookin bits around the ruined edges too - great effect.

Wow! Good Work. Can you tell me what you did to make the wall's texture look like that? esp around the edges where it looks like the paint is chipping off.

Stippled.

It's actually dead easy! Start with a dark colour and use an old brush to "jab" the paint onto the surface. The first layer should be really heavy and the next two or three layers should be progressively lighter colours and lighter stippling. Also don't quite cover the area of the earlier coats with the later ones for the "chipped" look.

cheers

I tip my hat for you good sir!

This is excellent!!!

The idea with wallpaper as a surface is great! cheers Consider that idea stolen/borrowed/used in the future.
