| Awesome! I love the bay and the ship.
Althought it is true that the ship looks a little "stuck" in it. But who cares?
Very very nice! I am really looking forward to see this with water effect. _________________

More gaming use in Mordheim.... |

| Boo yea! Good work. I'd love to make a water area, but I have a feeling, I'll never get around to it.
What are you going to use for water? _________________ -Ashton Sanders -Mordheim in Montana Blog |

| What's wrong with the position of the ship? Remember that the "Sea" walls won't be there - the are the edge of the board, not part of the scenery! They will be painted black.
It will be a water area as we have lots of ships in Flame On, so different games will have different ships (or no ship!) to vary the setting. The ships will be part of the playable table-top surface. It is reversible too - the other side is a standard cobbled street table quarter. We are going to use GW Water Effects - Zelophahad bought some ages ago!
The next Flame On Sartosa campaign will have a Mordheim sub-campaign set in Vercuso, played at lunch times in the Mill, so the port is a very important location.
Broken weapons, skeletons and rats are being added! _________________ Adm'rul Kurgan Grimjaw Swashbuckling Pirate Orc Warlord of the Ironfang Fleet

I really like the "tiled floor" upstairs. It came out great. |
the cobbles, tiled floor and damaged walls were just Drawn into the foamcard using a blunt pencil. Saves tonnes of work cutting out little squares/flags etc.
the drain was also done using the same method. |

| i think what they mean about the ship is that it is sitting too high out of the water, eg too much of the hull is exposed.
if it became a real concern to you, you could trim a fair portion of it off, so that it will look like it is sitting in water, rather than a model ship sitting on its keel on a flat surface.
but, it's a game of fantasy. just say the wyrdstone made you do it. |

| Oh I see. Well, there isn't much zelophahad can do about that - I think the base of the hull is pretty structurally integral to the masts, etc.
The work on our terrain will hopefully continue next week (we haven't been able to do much this week). Here's a taster though:

| Looks awesome!
Question: It looks like you drew on it with a pen; did that create a indentation? or are those sketches just a plan for what you plan to add on top of it?
Great ideas. _________________ -Ashton Sanders -Mordheim in Montana Blog |

| excellent, they'd go really well as outbuildings clustered around larger ruins or creating hovels and slums on their own.
it's a shame if you've gone to so much detail with pen on the buildings if it's only going to ended up painted on. i hope your finished work has as much detail as your WIP. |

| Very nice! I like the Monkey Island-y style!
Just one question: Why go through the tedious process of carving the wood texture, when you could have used balsa wood? You did that carving amazingly well, but it looks like it must have taken ages! _________________

| I don't think he had any balsa wood handy! But BK has loads of foamcore (and time apparently) free at work. _________________ Adm'rul Kurgan Grimjaw Swashbuckling Pirate Orc Warlord of the Ironfang Fleet

this is indeed true. each of the buildings above took about 10 minutes to draw up. (creating indentations so can be painted easily.)
the bits above took about 2 hours whilst watching 'House' & 'terminator.TSCC' to cut and glue.
i just need to paint pva on all the exposed edges and give the walls a texture coat. |
