ARRH, Matey: it looked like a pirate's den to moi. The bottles may have made Tom think of an alchemist; however this type of thinking is something that the Holy Templar's of Blessed Sigmar may well have to investigate for the taint of Heresy most foul.

The whole thing exudes the atmosphere of a sleezy harbor town, something I'm familiar with from my misspent youth [everyone should misspend their youth for future reference]. I can just picture the place swarming with swaggering, scurvy knaves, & some pirates too. Thnks for another excellent piece of inspiration.

Great work, WBK, but saying this sounds like saying water is wet.

Keep it up guys, I'd love to see the finished table.

Hey Adm'rul,
Our Fearless Leader [Tom] put up some really great pics of the game. Looked to be a spectacular success. Congrats! When you get to it, the battle report should be epic; I, for one, am really looking forward to this one. Sir, yes sir!

Speaking of witch, Tom, I don't have enough great pictures of your amazing Scenery. I've seen it in your Battle reports (and ur blog) but I'd love to see a post with a hundred pictures of ur amazing scenery Wink

Here's a link to the gallery section:
http://boringmordheimforum.forumieren.com/scenery-f13/

If you are on the home page, there's the main "General Discussion" section, then 5 sub sections, and then the "Gallery" And within that are "Miniatures" and "Scenery"

Hope that helps,

How tall do you make each story/floor? 5cm?

Each floor is 3 inches above the last. (So about 7.5cm I think).

The latest additions like their predecessors are just beautiful in a blown apart [what a great name for the ruler of the Pirate Islands: Napoleon Blownapart] sort of way. The whole thing is part gaming table & part living work of art. All you guys who were involved created a truly inspiring mini master piece. AND it's not over yet.

On a personal note: I think you may have pushed my fevered old mind over the edge: it's either make something or explode time, and, since I'd only have to clean up the mess from any ensuing explosion anyway, making some stuff seems the only alternative. I may have even come up with a photo idea that with some shameless wheedling & whining [another talent I've cultivated] I might convince our Fearless Leader to assist.

Thanks, Well Done, & Stuff Like That!

Does the addition of more buildings herald Flame On II? If so, all I can say is YES!

"Flame On" is the name of the gaming group, but I know what you mean! Wink

It heralds the start of "Lunchheim" a campaign played (in a bit of a hurry) during our lunch breaks. It will form the lead-up to, and later part of, the third Flame On Sartosa Campaign:

Sartosa 3: Pieces of Eight

These aren't new buildings, but the first wasn't ever finished - it is now - the others have been re-based so they match the boards (the bases where painted years ago and stood out from the board really badly to my eyes!)
